Hello guys

for the life of me I can’t get my system back to running normally, I get about 20% water flow no matter what pump I plug in. This setup is 8 months old with 3 runs under the belt

I have a 4x8 with a row of 3 buckets with 2” pvc/bulkheads, 3/4” return line. 700gph danner pump

My system pulls from the buckets through the 3/4 return in the pump and dumps into res or chiller on a steep vertical bend about 18 inches up

I have had this happen to me once before that I figured out myself using a backup pump.

I only build 60/70% of my whole setup, i have buddies to help me with tough stuff.

I cannot get a normal flow, i prime with lots of water. I bought a new pump thinking it could be the pump, my backup is 300gph so thought it was under powered, etc

ive fuk around n smoke too much n driving me nuts, plz help

It can be I believe, comes with a pond filter

I prefer to keep it out of the res n clean/dry

You probably have an air bubble trapped somewhere. That will do it everytime.

I believe I have something like that

it’s been killing me trying to get it, I’ve ran it in reverse, drain n filled with other pumps

will having higher water level help me get it figured out?
This has ran for 8 months

Make the inlet piping as short as possible and eliminate the 90 going into the pump

Pick one end up and see if you can get the bubble out. More water should allow it to flow out once you get it past the spot thats holding it.

This is not always a good idea because the plants need to be spaced out. And no, I don't mean stoned spacey. 🤣

Than pump goes out right into chiller, back into res and essentially is pulled in reverse??

I’m not quite envisioning it yet???

it now goes right into chiller, back into res and sucked out the bottom w pvc

If I drop pump in to res, have the outflow into chiller n it will still be being pulled the same direction I have now actually

Right?

It should be, but it would be much easier to know if I had a diagram of your system.

Pump pulls from buckets and dumps into res, pulled by pvc threw buckets n out return line to pump,

back into res, threw 2” pvc to 90 bend into 3/4 return line to pump
