That is expensive for nutrients. About 95 cents per gallon. @BillFarting I think is around 8 cents a gallon on in to put things into perspective with an IPM in as well!

Hey I'm not knocking anybody's nutrient program. Like I said before, just stating what I prefer to use!

Dude here is exactly what you said.
You gotta check out Mantis Buffered Nutrients. It's a one part nutrient, same feed ratio seed to harvest. Plus it's buffered so it sets your PH between 5.7-6.2 at all times.
It really sounds like you are pushing this nutrient line as in you are either associated with the product or sponsored by the manufacturer. Considering this stuff is a no go with RO it is not that great of a line regardless of the buffering, which can cause further issues.

Yup.. just giving my opinion on a great nutrient kit. The person asked for recommendations so I gave my recommendation.

Using dakine 420. Its a 3 part adjustable dry fert, Its pretty darn impressive even in soil. I might give Jacks a try next, hear good things about it n Its cheaper. I prefer these powder ferts over liquid. Better shelf life and attracts less pests.

Mantis uses buzz words like "medical grade" and "buffered" to charge more money. Plants only require ag grade salts. Do they tell you whether they are doing a citrate/carbonate pH buffer, or MES, an expensive one of Goods buffers? (The latter is in Advanced pH perfect). The only positive I can see is they maxed out the soluble concentration, so you are paying to ship less water.

Use powders where you can. get the max concentration on liquid products that must be formulated using a liquid like MSA. After all, it's all the same 16 elements and 5 types of biostimulants.

Humates, beneficial microbes, plant extracts, animal extracts and timed minerals (Si, Mo, B etc.).

Humates- Fulvic/humic/amino and organic acids
Beneficial microbes- mycorrhizae, bacillus, enzymes
Plant extracts- Kelp/alfalfa/horsetail
Animal extracts- fish aminos, chitosan
Timed minerals- calcium, silica, molybdenum

These are just simple examples and there are overlap between categories.

Thanks man. Appreciate the info. Slowly weening myself off the hyped nutrient market. I’m a small grower so my first step is back to general hydroponics flora series with the same additives you suggest for Jack’s. Not sure when or if I’ll go to dry (Jacks) because the cost differential is so small at my level. And I’ve already have lots of experience with GH.

For veg i recommend botanacare pro grow a nice light nute of fish mulch and nitro, for flower Atami Bloombastic cant be beat in my humble opinion.

Bloombastic may be a fine supplement but it’s only that. It’s a only a supplement The OP was looking fir a complete nutrient line up - aka nutrient kit.

You mentioned Botanicare and I can definitely recommend botanicare products and they have a few different complete lines that will produce excellent results. Sure your paying a little more fir a liquid nutrient but they have some very economical line ups.

Their Kind line, which I’ve tried is solid. But I warn, follow the feed chart. Do not attempt to make it better lol. I tried and totally effed up my shit. I added some of their additives that were not on the feed chart and burned and stunted em.

This guy works for Mantis. Please disregard any comments he has about Mantis Nutrients. His name is Jake macDonald. He works for the mother company of Mantis. And for the consumer Mantis is a 4 1.33 per gallon so super expensive to use!
