have a 4x4 grow tent
With a T5 8bulb 120cm light
Out of 10 really old seeds only 2 popped. They are in a seed raising mix with no fertiliser
And the last 2 days has been looking rather pale.
not sure what to do as I don’t want to overwater or underwater as it’s my only good seedling.
Kinda hope that somebody can point me in the right direction.
the light has been 40cms away for the past week.
Temperature around 26 to 30 and Humidity around 60%.
Any help would be appreciated
Many thanks 🙏

Ok. Will start with that.
mom so unsure and didn’t want to kill it my first round.
Use good watering practices. Read the section here on watering. And be real careful with that plant. Once you have some clones and you can sex them you're gate keeping rare or extinct genetics. Don't guess. Ask. You might have landrace quality genetics. You might have hermie poo. So if you need smoke have backup plants going.

what mix are you using ? looks like there's no perlite or anything in there for drainage

It’s a very light seed raising mix with
Vermiculite but not a great ratio.
I have been in lock down for a month and needed to find something to do on a tight budget and what i had at home.
I have 6 more seeds in pots that haven’t popped through yet, there from over 10 years ago but i am hopeful. Really wasn’t sure if the light had been to close though the fan was blowing over the top of them to take the heat away.
My first time and it’s so nerve racking to know when and how much to do when all you really want to do is over do it. Really am thankful for any direction

Seedling mix is for starting seeds, greenhouses use flats instead of pots. Allows easy separation of plants. After a week or so you plant in bigger pots with a potting soil or equivalent. You should match your plant to pot size also.
Your plants need fertilizer. Bummer but I would probably dig out and replant carefully. Not sure what to think about growing in seedling mix, just something you don’t do. Never tried and it might be fine.

Honestly it was all i could get at the time. I’m no expert but it seems to let the water run through and holds well till the heat of the tent and the fan blows over the top of it to dry out, and a careful dig it seems to be moist under the surface like it’s doing it’s job so to speak.
when i can afford something better i will do that for the next set of seedlings if they ever pop through. But i hadn’t been giving any nutrients except for today and that was a very light feed.

Welcome to the FARM! 😎 🤙

What did you feed them?

Also here's some good read for your Weed...👍🥴😁

Basic Watering: MUST READ

P.S....How far/close are your lights from the plants? 🤔

So.
The only feed they had got was some organic seaweed extract in a low dose, the only soil i could get was some
Seedling raising mix at the local nursery
It does drain very well.
but after a few comments on here.they had a light feed of some growlush a&b and i drove to another nursery and found some coco coir and mixed it through with the seedling raising mix.
Also I have moved my light a T5 8 fluro 120cm light fixture up to roughly 50cms
The lights haven’t come in this morning but the little seedling I’m not sure if it will make it and the larger one still has that blotchy and yellowish leaves on the bottom though the top is maybe looking better.
might be a bit early for me to tell.

And thanks for the welcome.
Really looking forward to becoming a
better grower than my first few seeds one day.

I have more than enough reading to do for the next week.

But over the next few months will need to buy a led to change over when the girls are big enough.
That in itself is a daunting task for a 4x4 tent.

Will post some
New photos when the lights come on.

Much and many thanks.

Even had some other make there way to there new world.

The tomatoes and basil are just filling a gap and looked like they needed a bit of inside time.

Hopefully can keep them alive.

Bit of a update.
think I’m getting on top of things in some ways.
But those 2 little seedlings still look like there hungry. I think.
have been using worm wee and seasol af a foliage spray and watering with half strength nutrients.

It's time to start feeding them. If you want to use the bottled nutes, then you need to cut the feed amounts listed in the charts in half. Maybe in half again depending on the chart. Those numbers are the most you can feed your plant without killing it outright. The plant food companies want you to keep buying more and more....

We grow organic, so we do this differently. We amend the soil ahead of time and then we only need to water for the rest of the grow. All the food is in the soil.

Right.
I have been feeding the 2 smaller ones with the yellow leaves on the bottom and more spraying with worm wee and seasol to help with being transplanted from the pot they were in.
Then realising it was to early.
Anyway for a first grow indoors it’s more about a learning curve.
I hope to at least get them to a big enough stage to take clones without killing them.
Seems really easy on your first time!
Will keep up the quarter feeds for now.
thank you very much

UpDate.
The last photo is the one that got saved. It seems to be back in a happy state.
the 2 smaller ones and the largest ones where transplanted over a week again and still look like over watered them to much? Maybe?
Been 2 days between waters now and the mix is still damp about to inches down from the surface.
Guess I’m not sure to wait out a bit longer or is it they need more nutrients.
They have all been getting a litre each with a tea of worm wee seaweed seasol and vegetative grow lush in very small doses.
And I have moved the t5 8tube light up to 50cms and that’s reading 620par across them all.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Another Update.
Pretty sure i had a ph issue with my run of but hopefully a few tweaks and may have gotten on top of it. Hopefully.
Definitely have stalled them for a week or so but i have nothing but time and starting from bag seeds, all I need is a few girls to get some clones and hopefully make the next grow with a few less mistakes and a lot more knowledge than i went in with at first.
