Will take clones off these tonight. I will transplant tomorrow, wore out today.

So I cleaned it and leak tested with tap water, no leaks.. Wahoo.. But I upgraded my water pump and it pushed so much gunk out of my lines that I apparently didn't clean. So now my system is just running with filters getting all the gunk out. I have an aquarium cleaner I'm using to suck out the gunk as it settles. Basically.. I wasn't expecting to have to clean it again. I should be cutting roots and putting the plants in there but I'm done..

I'll supercrop tomorrow and update.. Fun fun

Ppm before massive was 300, now it's 600. Ph 5.6, water Temps set at 72f

Cut roots, transplanted, super cropped and netting. I will never veg them for 2 months again. They are huge. They are overlapping each other its just wild. The entire space could have been filled had I enough patients.

Anyways they are 12/12 and clones were taken off each. Gonna run these same strains for a while.

I will clean the veg tents system in a few days and transplant them with no roots. I have a feeling my system will root them faster.

All light leaks fixed so they shouldn't reveg. Fan upgraded so it should not burn up. 10l of Massive so I shouldn't run out. I have a feeling this room will be packed lol..

are You planning on lollipopping?
Those are gonna get big(ger) lol
For sure, just gonna wait till I see the first signs of pistols. I actually topped a few of the long ones. One I had to make a circle out of it lol . I have no problems cutting shit off and throwing it away lol. My issue this grow will be accessing the far plants. I need a tent :\

Eventually ill move into my building and ill have plenty of room then for a tent. I considered tearing it all down, and ordering a 4x8 tent after this grow. I have enough room where i could put a little walk path around it. Just sucks using an entire bedroom for only 6 plants lol. . Im basically doing it anyways. See i cant grow but 6, its my legal limit, well 6 in each stage 18 total. Anyways im done. . mission accomplished.

a tent won't provide much help man. at least ime. access is still hard in a tent. without having a full room that one can plan for all the details, it's a tall order growing multiple plants that actually take advantage of all the space and lighting efficiently.

My last grow area was 7x10x8

My new flower room is 13x16x12. The extra area around my 4 plants is wonderful!

Both times I supercropped and scrogged this room, the first and this time, I had to work the next day. Coming home after not opening the tent for 22hrs is always nerve wrecking.

So I opened the tent and surprise the growth wasn't as good as I was expecting.. Was like wow... Wtf... All is fine.. But I wasn't stunned... So I check my ph it's 5.7, checked my ppms they still 600... But then I see that water temp.. Fucking 68... What in the fuck. I check my heater and I had it set to 68.. So yea.. Now it's up to 72f..

Anyways no video.. Or pics.. I didn't add anything to the res.. Didn't even look for rot... I'm going for a very hands off approach still. Using what I know and see to predict the future... And I see.. Weeddddddddd in my future

Idk if you can tell, but I sure can. It's been 48hrs since they have been in there.. And they didn't dieeeeee wahoooo..

I havnt checked the ph or ppms in 24hrs and I plan on doing that tomorrow. Just gonna let it sit for a while..

Clones didn't die either... I will prolly clean the veg system/tent tomorrow and put these clones in it. I know 2 days isn't that long to root, but I have a feeling my veg system will work better for cloning than this crap seedling tray and cover.

The other 3 look great. So the ppm was 220 and the seeds were actually sitting in the solution since its a wicking system. So since the shells opened up practically under water, the nutrient solution stuck to the new growth causing burn.

Since the stalk looks great, and they both keep stretching, imma keep them in there and see what happens lol. I got faith, do you??

As for my 2 seeds germinating, I'm about to place one in the empty slot. She will be a bit behind, but it should be ok.. Imma stress and top the hell outta them with a decent veg so it won't matter.

Anyways, it's fun watching these seeds take off.

I will raise the rockwool slightly on the next starter set. Instead of over 50% submerged I'll go 10%. The shell needs the be dry when it opens, or in only RO.

Did I mention I love hydro??
Nice journal. i used to go from 2" rockwool right into dwc pibbles. One thing to note and to avoid is putting that 4" rockwool on the water level as the pibbles. giving a bit more space between the water level and the cube allows roots to take more oxygen instead of being soaked. You would have to do some manual top watering to keep that cube moist and for the roots to get to the waterlevel but it avoids getting this

here you can see how wet that rockwool was and how the seedlings were acting. When you were later in veg with massive roots that water level wasn't full anymore so the roots and rockwool was able to breath better.

So what happened with those seedlings is that nutrient solution was 200ppm. On that specific sprout I actually pushed it down into the rockwool too far when the taproot was so small. Because I place the seedlings directly into my running system to soon, the nutrients actually got on the leafs as they opened causing burn. IF I took my 200ppm solution and sprayed it on the top of any new node, it would grow up like this all broken. The leafs can handle RO water without damage but not my solution. So my last time I did it, with these 6 plants I just allowed the taproots to become bigger before placing into cubes. When I place into cubes the shell or opening set will be about 1/4 inch above the rockwool. This way they cant get any of the nutrient solution on them.

My reasoning for doing it like this is it eliminates top feeding and faster growth in my opinion. Since im fallponics the surface level of my water is the most oxygenated. Rockwool works great for wicking up short term, it just tends to hold nutrients the plant wont use. So i wick up, i do not fully submerge it until the roots break the netpot. Once I know there are quite a bit of roots outside the rockwool, I raise my water levels so that the entire cube is submerged. I want every single root to be under water. I would say leaving a gap is more of an aeroponic addition. Meaning the bubbles mist up the roots and the rockwool, but if I were to leave a gap, I would just convert the entire system into aero. Not to mention my growth rates are substantial when compared to most.

Because im fallponics with airstones and a pump, i feel its very hard to compare the surface 02 levels to that of DWC. I have actually heard from a good source that keeping them fully submerged should help them pull up nutrients and water faster, as long as the water has enough o2.

As for my clones, I feel they will love the system as long as they have enough roots that say a seedling would have when it entered my system. So if I got a few inches of roots already, these clones should really take off in my system. Now if that rockwool was drying out and needing topped off like soil, I just dont see how the growth rates could compare to a medium that keeps the roots always saturated, like aero or rdwc.

Its a fun debate ive seen hashed out over and over on here, cant really know for sure unless theres a legit side by side done, which is near impossible to do, someone can always say well this wasnt actually the same. . Perhaps one day ill have some evidence to back up my claim, right now its just based upon personal preference.

They pop up and I tuck them back down. I can access the entire tent from the door and the back right crawl hole.

Ph is steady at 5.7 still no additives. Ppm 575, water Temps 73f.

May the strongest nodes survive

If you watch the video, you will see I don't need help fixing these issues im showing. They were caused by the heavy scrogging/supercropping along with turning lights up to 1000w

My point for showing is that one week later, after cutting the roots and transplanting. They all stood up and created a decent canopy. Every plant is alive and ticking.

I have a feeling this will yield far better than my last. Time will tell.

Topped off flower system with fresh nutrients. Ppms 600, business as usual.

Veg system got fired up today. Clones were looking kindof shitty so I was like I better put them in there. They should have been in sooner but I'm lazy and didn't want to clean it all. Anyways, I'm confident most of the clones will make it. I bet the top left one does too. If it dies, which it won't!! But if it does lol it will be tomorrow and I'll just take a bigger clone. They are just starting to flower so it should be fine. Ppms are 260.

Clones look rough, but they alive as I figured. This Fallponics shit is amazing. Can't kill anything lol..

Flower ppms 500 water temp 73
Veg ppms 260 water temp 69 :(

Eventually I will put this extra aquarium heater in my veg res, but atm they already get to big.. No need rushing them lol...

Business as usual

Ppms dropped to 300, added 20 gallon of water, silica, nutrients, massive and hydroguard. Ppms are now 600 again in my flower system.

I purchased another aquarium heater. My veg tent res wouldn't get above 68f causing super slow uptake for these clones. Luckily they didn't die.. Yet.. And shouldn't lol.. But this res temp increase of 5 degrees really should help.

Also defoliated some of the upper large nodes to stop them from blasting up to high. This grow is looking hopefull.

Ph 5.6 on both systems and slowly rising.

I swear this is mind blowing to me. Idk how the fuck this entire room is full off 6 plants, like 65 days from seed 4x8. Imo this will destroy my last grow. The systems are finally to the point where I wanted it. I think I'm overfeeding my clones too.. You should have seen the big one before I cut all the fan leafs off. It was getting big. I'm stunting it's growth so the other ones can catch up.. Hopefully that is lol.
