For sure. Too bad they need so much light and water and heat...I always said I’d love to have a few as regular house plants. They look cool, smell awesome and are pretty exotic plants.
treating one of my plants like a
houseplant rn lol
My current houseplant, she’s gonna be my mother for now.

Second pic, I’m flowering to be done with them and move on to coco, currently 5gal ocean forest

Nice! Haha!

What are you in now living soil? Curious why the move? I hear living soil is where it’s at for terpenes, that’s why I want to try it.

thats what i was doing for my first grow, i liked it bud was nice, but the grow time in coco just blows it out of the water. it can be very simple and straight forward/easy to grow in living soil, but eh id like something more hands on and advanced.

i like how they dont get rootbound like soil would, smaller pots more space, less medium to haul around, just seems the benefits of coco/hydro outweigh soil.

but cant argue with a better quality product...if thats the case.

I plan to move to living soil after getting a grow or 2 in coco. Are you going to fill the tent with the one plant? That’s something I’d like to try too haha. Big giant cannabush I’m picturing.
Ohhhh ya she’s getting that whole space to her self. I started supercropping the center branch to help bush her out. I’ll probably let her grow bigger before bending all the branches outward and throwing over the scrog net. Once she fills out to the sides and starts growing thru the trellis I’m gonna flip here.

It comes down to preference and if you like controlling every little aspect then hydro or bottle nutes are for you. In living soil your not injecting them and giving food directly it’s all about feeding the soil where the microbes break down and make the nutrients available. They take when they want you just gotta help them out a little bit along the way. I love the living soil way but want to eventually try out some other styles. As for rootbound plants I like to stay in fabric pots which don’t allow that to happen.

I appreciate all the support everyone 🙏

Hey I know this shit is crazy but there’s a whole scene for this stuff. Plus now as I start paying for some premium genetics prices can be steep so 125$ for a cut that was phenohunted for me isn’t bad. I know these breeders have some heat so I’m excited to run this and chuck some pollen at her.
That’s crazy hell yea tho

Yes I like the aspect of being able to control everything going in

Gotcha, I’ve been using bottled nutes too so it just made more sense to go to coco

Well guys she’s taking off now that she’s in a 2 gal pot. I supercropped the main top to break apical dominance so the side branches will grow more and she will become bushy. It seems to already be working as this is the second time I’ve done it. I plan to keep doing this or I will just tie down the main. ✌️#SpiderFarmerArmy

Cuts have been taken and put into the cloner I built out of a 5 gallon bucket. I plan to chuck some pollen at her and/or reverse her onto something else like the slurricane #7 I’m gonna grow after my 5x5 finishes out.

Everyone have a safe and fun Christmas with their family much love fam!

The SF-2000 is performing great but depending on plant size I may throw the sf-1000 in to supplement the fixture. #SpiderFarmerArmy

Do you have any pics of your homemade cloner? I would be interested in seeing it as I’m planning on building a cloner sometime soon.

On the way there now I’ll post it up and list the materials. It’s so cheap the most expensive part is probably the pump for like 20$ but you could even use a cheaper one as you do not need much pressure

Looks good man. I think breeding is the funnest part of growing. Nothing more rewarding than creating strains tailored to your liking. gl

Ya and then of course there’s the added bonus of never having to buy seeds. I’m always going to still pop packs from breeders but I’ll always have my own thing on the side as well.
That’s the next thing I want to try/learn about.

Breeding my own shit

But one thing at a time for now.

Anyone can chuck pollen-that's easy. The hard part is testing all the plants to find the winners. Depending how many plants you have, test smoking can become a full time job. lol
I’m down for the task! 😂 ya I wanna
Find something interesting to keep around as a mom for awhile. Idk the possibilities are endless once you start dabbling with genetics. I love this hobby there’s so many directions I can take with training methods, lights, genetics, ughhh I love it!!
