I think the green stuff is algae but those white parts look a bit funky

Tbh I didn’t even notice those white parts tilll you called it out I was so focused on the green
Possible pm?

what they said ^. all i can add is it's not a huge issue until it is. algae will rob your plants of nutrients if allowed to really take hold. you don't have a problem now though.

How would I get rude of it before it’s to late?
will Athena’s ipm root drench fix this?

you have several options.

1. wipe it off. it's not like a cover crop with a dense root base.
2. spray it with some high concentration h2o2 (hydrogen peroxide). 34% @ 10ml/gal in a spray bottle would work great. DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR HANDS.
3. spray it with some lab grade ISO alcohol. Same rule applies as above, unless you like dead white skin on your hands.
4. let the tops of your containers dry out enough so the tops aren't saturated all the time.
5. easiest, get some covers on your containers. algae needs three things to grow: moisture, nutrients, and light. eliminate the light and you eliminate the algae.

Algae bloom from being too wet for too long at a time.
The white is Mycos.

Like the stuff that grows on your house in the shade. That grow way to wet way too long, if that’s happening!
