Hi, I'm a 69 year old smoker / grower that plays a lot of chess online....I'm no fkin good but at times I can put up a good fight.
If anyone is interested in a game or 2 once and awhile we should smoke one and have a game. I go to chess.....com If you want to play Its an easy sign up no install game...I'll give those that want to play my online chess name and we can go from there. msg me or post here.

damn, might take you up on it. been years since i've played, and have stayed away from the online sector given there are some insanely skilled people out there.

ya but you can set it to play in your skill range...intermediate starts you at 1200 and you work your way up or down....you play people within 100 points of that up or down.. so you may be better than some... check it out...there are some pussles you can play to start or a bot set to your skill.... you play people from around the world you'll never meet or see again...no chatting until you play so many games??

haha just tried a match as a guest and got my ass handed to me. i need to brush up before i venture back, that hurt my ego a little lol

I think you have to play enough games to get a rating before you can connect.

Ya maybe...I haven't played any friends on there in a while I play every day we'll try to get one in if you can get rated...shouldn't take long...I usually play 10 min games although I can go longer if you'd like.

Grade 5 teacher had a theory that if you paid attention in class there was no need for homework. He started a chess club and at 10 years old i was blown away with the game.

Best teacher i ever had and i never did homework again lol

I was in a chessclub as a boy, which is a long time ago.
Still like chess and other games, will take a look, thanks man.

Used to play a lot of chess, but it died out, most folk stopped learning to play in the 80's, they used to teach it at school when I was a kid, had chess classes after school, but I've not played for nearly 30 years, and you have to keep your hand in.

I play a lot of chess.....a fk of a lot.......way too much......winter in Nova Scotia keeps me indoors...my work shop is now my grow room so I can't do my wood working in there any longer...sawdust doesn't taste good when smoking it off my plants.....I played online poker but that just pisses me off. I have a 1550 rating so I can put up a good fight but I just play the game I don't know much in tactics and I get whooped by good players but its a great pass time and I play much better high than not,,,,although stupid sometimes attacks me when I least expect it...😁😁

fuck man lol i'm getting my ass handed to me on this site. i thought i knew how to play this game but both the computers and the random online play is vicious. think i identified a few bugs though. some plays aren't working that should based on the rules of chess as i know them, and afaik i was taught right from a young age. fully accept losses, but not being able to move a piece despite clearly not entering check is some shit.
