Hello all:

I'm growing 3 Bruce Banner Auto plants. This is my second autoflower grow and 5th grow overall...so I'm still a newb. I last watered on 1/13 (4 days ago) and have started seeing droopy leaves. It's a little worse in my plant that's using the Roots Organic Buddha Grow and Bloom but it's there for both plants. I'm looking for some help with what's going on.

Deets:
Bruce Banner Auto from Seedbank.com
Day 57 from seed
Soil: Fox Farm Coco Loco (it's not coco please look it up before posting a reply)
Pots: 3 gal fabric pots sitting on risers
Light: Spider Farmer SF-2000
Environment: AC Infinity 2X4 grow tent with 4" inline fan and 4" carbon filter. Small fan blowing across canopy.
Temp & RH: keep around 72-75F and 50%rh
Nutes:
- 2 plants on a 3/4 program of Fox Farm trio, calmag+, and recharge
- 1 plant on a full strength program of Roots Organic Buddha Grow and Bloom, calmag+, and Great White
When do I water/feed: I use the weight method and try to wait until the pot feels light. I've used this method on every other grow and never overwatered. However, this is the first time I've used 3 gal pots. I water until I get runoff but I did get more runoff than expected when I last watered on 1/13. I ph to 6.2 (earlier in veg) - 6.4 (later in flower).

Those plants aren't taking in enough water, for some reason. This problem has nothing to do with the nutes, I don't think. Try watering a cloth pot by putting it in a tray of water and let it soak it up from the bottom.

BTW, why full strength on the Roots?

I may have fed last week without ph’ing. I only have a few grows under my belt but I’ve always phd the water to 6.2-6.4. I’ve never seen anything like this before.

it makes me nervous to water as they just got fed but I’ll try your idea of soaking from the bottom.

Also, I just read about the Buddha grow and bloom and wanted to try organic Nutes. It was suggested that they weren’t too strong and that feeding them at full strength worked well. I just finished a couple of northern lights autos with the roots at full strength and had my biggest yield yet on a couple bushy little plants. I was amazed. So I’m trying a side by side compare with the fox farm nuts to compare.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Give plants light flush check pH correct if nessasary and give plants a few days to recover, autos need much less nutes and they build up in the plants, ill bet your pH is off.

I flushed last night with 6.2 water. Soaked the plants really good from the top and bottom till they stopped absorbing water.

they don’t look better this morning but I’ll give it a few days. Thanks for the feedback.

Quick update. I soaked the plants in water and a little bushdoctor sledgehammer to flush. Today they look much better.

My verdict. I overdid it with nutes and forgot to ph in the same feeding. I’ve recalibrated fox farm from 3/4 to 1/2 for these girls. Buddha grow and bloom from full to 1/2. I’m sure I’ll be more than fine as I’ll do a couple teas soon too.

Thanks for the feedback.

How did your BB auto turn out at harvest? I’m on my second grow of this strain. First grow I topped them and did a lot of bending. The resultant buds came out small and early on pistils shrank and turned brown. This grow I’m doing no LST. I accidentally broke the main apical branch, essentially an unwanted topping, after it started flowering. The other has remained untouched. I expected the accidental topping of the one plant in its fifth week of growth to mess it up but I’m really surprised and pleased how it’s growing!
They are in their ninth week. They started flowering late in the 4th week. I’m thinking they have another 4 weeks to go. The topped plant is 12” tall and the untouched BB is around 18”. They are in a 50-50 mix of a supersoil and Big Rootz soil. Twice/week I feed Atami Bloombastic at 1ml/liter, once/week 1/2 tsp Epsom salt/gal water. Twice/month they get back strap molasses 1tbs/gal. Because of using this supersoil I fed just periodic Epsom salt and molasses during veg. I used GH FloraNova at 1/2 strength during first 3 weeks of flower. My only concern is how green they remain. I haven’t used any products with N for past 2 weeks and they are not getting any paler shade of green. Buds are getting fat though!

My Bruce Banner grow is my largest harvest yet. 120g from one plant and around 80g from the other. The flavor was great and it was a really energetic high. The only negative was that it didn't really produce when trying to make Rosin. Barely anything came out. Still, great daytime strain. I'll roll some J's mixed with Jack Herer and it's a nice combo.

Peace!

They definitely look underwatered..underwater... also I people don't realize in veg you actually want your pH to be around 5.5 - 5.8.... that is when Nitrogen is best for uptake... and in flower you want 6.5- 6.8 which makes phosphorous and potassium uptake better
