My tent is 32" x 32" x 63". Right now for my first grow I'm just going with one plant (auto, day 35 from soil) to get the feel for things. But after harvest I want to try and run as many photos as I can fit in my tent. So I am trying to brainstorm my next grow and curious how many plants I should aim for.

This is what my tent currently looks like. I also have another 6" clip fan and a tower fan that are on the way. I bought a 3x3 scrog net as well but not sure if I am even ready for that. I have not topped my auto or done any lst (Mainly because idk how or when I should do these things). I am open to any advice you guys can provide on my setup.

Number of plants in a 32" x 32"? For me, that would be 1 plant from seed. It's not a lot of space. You could fit more but you don't have much space to work with and they prefer not to be crowded all together like that. By scrogging 1 plant though, you could pull a decent yield out of that space. If you intend to pursue this as a hobby, a nice tent size for limited space would be a 32" x 60" x 80". Your 32" x 32" makes an excellent veg tent and the 32" x 60" would handle 3 - 4 plants depending on size. It would be a nice little setup capable of providing 12-16oz of buds per run. More as you gain experience.

Thanks for the advice! I had a feeling I might already be at my capacity with the 1 plant. I definitely do want to make this a hobby but I don't have the physical space in my current place to fit that size tent. Going to be getting a new place by the end of the year so will just run one plant for now and get the upgraded tent later on.

In regards to scrogging..when do I start that? Like with my current plant in the picture for example..how much longer do I wait before I add the net?

Since you're limited in overhead space to an extent, I would bend over the main stem now and tie it down to allow your plant to start bushing. After a few days, release the main stem. I usually don't top my plants. I allow them to bush by repeating the tie down on the main stem allowing it to bush out. Others will recommend topping. That choice is yours to make. I prefer not to because I can get an even canopy without cutting out the vegetation.

Set your net up at around 18" from the pot. Use LST and some super cropping to fill out your net. Flip to 12/12 once 2/3 to 3/4 or your net is full. Keep weaving for the first week of 12/12.

You don't truly need a tent but they do help sometimes by holding lights . Im just thinking if u need space

Yeah I know what you mean, I don't really have any other space though and I feel VPD is easier to manage with the tent. For me at least. Already ran into one issue a few weeks ago where my humidity went way down one night (before I had the ventilation setup proper) and my plant was not very happy in the morning haha.

I did what MIGrampaUSA said to do. I used garden staples to hold don the tip until the bottom few branches grew up. Then i would just repeat for the longest branches until it was bushed enough to do a scrog.

I have a 36'x36" x 60" and one 5 gallon pot done this way will fill this screen in about another month...10 -12 weeks from germination.

Depends on strain. 1-5 plants from seed. With the right photo strain, 5 plants @ 2oz each in 100 days is possible.

You could do that. I wouldn't. I don't like things crowded. I prefer easy to get to and plenty of space. For me, a one plant scrog would fit perfectly in there. LOL.

It boils down to preference.

I would normally only do 2 in a 2 x 2. OP was asking how many is possible, not how many will fit comfortably.

I'm not knocking "Sea of Green" style grows. I've done them. I just don't do them anymore. I prefer fewer larger plants in my space. The nice thing is there is more than one way to do this and have a successful grow. The OP is relatively new to the hobby so starting easy has its advantages.

Alright well who knows I might end up doing 2 for the next grow and see how it goes. But I appreciate everyone's opinion

I don't know what the deal is with these grow tents. The ONLY reason I would use one would be to isolate the plant in darkness for 12/12 flowering, if I don't have an adequate isolated grow room. Other than that IMHO, the grow tents are the biggest rip off product ever. Totally Unnecessary. I would grow auto's so that I would not need a grow tent. Without a grow tent. only other devices you need are the lights and ONE oscillating fan. And of course, the normal, routine ancillary instruments such as a PAR meter, RH meter, EC/TDS meter, thermometer, ect.

I don't do that style anymore either. It's a hassle watering and it makes too much yield. A guy can only use so much, then it just goes in the compost bin.

I'm running in a 2.5x2.5 x5 tent currently. My last run I tried fitting in 2 plants in 5 gallon pots...bad idea! They had no room as they were growing into each other and I had a lot of bud sites dropping on the side of the tent which my light is the weakest at. I have gone to 1 plant in a 5 gallon pot now and I'm gonna flirt with putting 2 plants in 1 or 2 gallon pots and see how that goes. But as of now if your going in a 5 gallon pot it's best for 1 plant and top it multiple times and scrog it.

I don't use 5 gal pots unless the plant is gonna be huge. 3-4oz plants do great in 3gal pots, and anything smaller does well in 2gal.
