Glad you are here we do not have enough women growers around. There have been some greats for sure but overall the percentage is very low. I donā€™t know why that is. Seems to me backyard gardening is skewed in the other direction more female to male. I donā€™t understand why that doesnā€™t translate here.

you were hesitant to post here can you fill in any blanks for me? Women are clearly welcome here as witness by this thread. šŸ¤”

I know a lot of women growers/gardeners...But we are more "mellow" we listen to Enya/Eagles and Fleetwood Mac and tend NOT to be all over Youtube and forums playing loud music and showing off all our stuff ;) ahem...However on one or two other forums I DID meet some really wonderful ladies such as myself in the age range between 30-62... However; Like myself most are busy with husbands/kids/grand-kids/household etc. They taught me wonderful advice on photography (photographing our plants), and many of the topics discussed hear. Also, many women tend NOT to be so "numbers specific"...What I mean is that most of us are "Intuitive Gardeners" (I know I am). I will say that I have grown well over 100 crops, I have self taught myself by reading hundreds of hours on the interwebs and forums and you tube vids. I do many of the same experiments you gentlemen do to your plants (Bonzai planting/training, etc, etc) and I have a lot of fun! And I certainly LOVE supporting everyone here young and older, newbies and veteran growers alike.
Also sometimes men tend to be a wee bit more brave when "jumping in" to a new forum...You are right. Most people who post/lurk tend to be men. In my household I have a wonderful husband and a great son...My husband does not partake at all (he cannot at this time). My son helps with greenhouse chores but doesn't have the real LOVE and passion of the plant. I am just a fangirl of the plant, I think that is my crazy hippy sense of passion. When I love something, I am ALL in! I grow for myself and 3 patients that I am a caretaker for.

I suspect that there may be more ladies here lurking...I know there were a few on the HCC Forums I was on (Homegrown Cannabis Company) I am the same screen-name over there as well. What *I* love about THIS forum THCFarmer is that it encompasses the WHOLE entire scope of marijuana/cannabis/hemp farming. I can look up just about ANY strain, any grow diary or subject and find a plethora of great information. So I spend most of my time here absorbing knowledge.
Warmly,
Jackie

This was a few photos from a couple of grows ago. Gods Gift and White Rhino. I am a die hard Indica Girl at heart. This was a Mother-plant (clone daughter) grow where I discovered the genetic anomaly with a Gods Gift that had a faulty gene in the leaves that expressed itself in "dalmatian like rust sports" (I wrote on this more on another thread where some one posted the same problem). Both mother plant and clones had it- NO other plants (even of the same strain) was ever affected. Happy Growing! šŸŒ±

No way! I love you (and every one elses unique style) that is what makes this forum so great. If there is someone or some topic I don't care to participate in- I just skip over it. No reason to get distressed. And like many of y'all...Even though my best friend and husband of 38 yrs doesn't participate in posting he gets read a lot of funnies from here and shown a lot of "weed porn" (ie: nice photos).

From what I have seen so far- There is a really diverse and great group of people in this vast community that ALL have the same thing in common- Love of this plant and new ways of growing it. The one thing I have learned during my nearly 60 years on this earth is that none of us do "exactly everything" the same exact way. I had to learn the hard way and boy oh boy am I still making mistakes. I think it happens to any of us. But, for each MISTAKE I made, I learned something NEW and the next grow was a wee bit better (etc.).

But no, please...ALL of you vibes are great. From the super nerdy, to the hardcore science grower to the organic outdoor hippy grower to the "Heck man, I just threw a coupla bag seeds in dirt and WOW, they are 4 feet tall now and have huge flowers on them...Is that normal?" (Muhahaha! That is a long story someday!) ā˜®ļø

You're my kind of friend....Yes, I figured if I did not post a couple of real photos then people would think me some troll of "fraudster"? I dunno...Nothing incriminating, although everyone where I live comes to me with their animal or health problems (local wise woman!). As to the rest of you awesome post... "Live long and prosper- Fellow traveler!". (And never leave home without the HANDBOOK for Gods sake!) :D

The thread title is sticking this in my head.
I knew someone would get the reference sooner or later- Yeah, you can tell THAT band (love ya RS!!) loves the healing weed too! ;) I swear, they get more preserved each year...Personally, I want to smoke with ol' Willie. Whatever indica he has I would love...Oh yes. (Floyd, Stones, I love some Classic Rock, Hard Rock, some old Style metal and yes...Even classical music. Heck, my "girls" often have Mozart or Beethoven playing in the grow room when I'm down there.) I am a bit of a "Luddite" (well not really..I am just technologically impaired. I do not own a cell phone and sort of am stuck in the 1970's and 80's in my head.) Seems technology grows exponentially faster second by second! No wonder I love Egyptology ;) ā˜®ļø (And yes, that song WAS going through my head when I typed up my Hello post last night).
Warmly,
Jackie

Actually, I never cared for that song. To me, the stones were not that great of a group. They would have to displace Floyd from my list and I don't think that's possible.

Thems fighten words my friend,,,,,,Floyd to us was an embarrassing group to listen to.....if you was a Floyd fan you were in a different group than me....but I'm pretty sure I have a few years on you.......It was like listening to kids music to us........lol.........Pink Dick had a few songs but they'll never compare to the Rolling StonesšŸ¤£šŸ¤£

The only reason the stones were rolling is because it was downhill. šŸ˜…

We considered the Stones hacks because everything they played was simplistic, basic chord progression whereas Floyd had interwoven layers of emotion and meaning. I have friends that feel as you do and that's Ok. You are all entitled to my opinion, just like everyone else. And don't you let them take that from you. šŸ‘

I'd put at least a dozen bands ahead of the Rolling Stones. I'm not quite 60 and although they were still popular, they had reached their peak. Pink Floyd would be in the top on my list. So would AC/DC, the Eagles, Aerosmith and a few others.
