Newbie grower saying Hi

Hi all.

I'm a 1st time grower in the UK, hoping to find some useful information here. The site looks great and people here seem super helpful.
I'm almost ready to start germination but wanted to see if anyone has any Golden Rules for a newbie, to steer me on the right course.

Thanks for your reply. I'll try to post as much as possible. Out of interest, what's your thoughts on these lights for germination? I'lm also planning to use a warming pad

I never grown with LED's lights
I use the fluorescent T5 55w
on seedlings and all my plants in veg
any grow light will by good to start
But your flowering light need to by great
put your $ on a good light in flower
