What's up guys. I've been on here for a while now and after some encouragement I've decided to share what's going on in my neck of the woods. Here we have a 5x8 with a HLG 600Rspec and a 600w HID. This is my 3rd round so still quite green. (Pun intended) lol. These plants are seeds I purchased from Nuke Heads Seeds along with a few bag seed . The 6 autos that look like shit are Gelato. They were a learning curve being my first autos but they're close to being chopped. Among the rest we have some White Widow, GSC, Purple Dawn, Purple Glue and Cancer Blaster. They're in 3 gal fabric pots with fox farms happy frog soil being the most available at the time. All but 5 in veg are in the 5th week. Feeding fish shit and kelp with recharge along with some micro nutes when needed. Any and all advice is appreciated being that I'm a chronic pain patient trying to grow medicine that has enough quality to replace the oxy and morphine I'm currently having to take. Enough about that shit. Here she is

First question is when to quit the veg nutes and when to start flowering nutes? I've seen where to start bloom nutes lightly 2 weeks before flipping and continue veg nutes 2 weeks into flower. I seem to run into calcium/magnesium deficency about week 6 of flower So there lies the question on is there a preferred bloom nutrient that will help with this so I don't have to implement calmag. Or does calmag just need to be in the feeding schedule?

You never mentioned the base nutrients you’re using. If you don’t have any grab some terp tea grow,bloom, and bloom booster organic dry amendments. It takes about a week to become available so I usually top dress at the start of flower and also transplant into fresh soil shortly before the flip which gives plenty of food to get you by until your bloom nutes kick in. Around the second week of flower is when they fully transition to bloom nutrients. I then top dress around the half way point with the bloom booster which meets the higher demand for phosphorus in the second half of flower. As for the other products you use keep it up! They seem to like some steady cal/mag under LED

Sorry. Currently I'm using Alaska fish fertilizer 5-1-1. Fox farms Bushdoctor kelp me kelp you and Micro. I have grow and bloom from Fox farms but I'm not using either. Leaning more on the fish fertilizer and kelp for veg and the Micro when needed

Other than the kelp and fish shit. The fox farms nutes are just bottles I got my first grow when I was figuring out how to feed. Have a question about the transplanting. They're in fabric pots. Is it really necessary to transplant if I'm feeding them properly since they are not getting bound?

Well it depends on how big you’re growing the plant. Yes they will air prune on their own but if you’re growing a big ass plant then you will find out how hard it can be to keep the plant happy and healthy in a small pot fabric or not…

I have 15 plants total in veg. Once the 6 autos go ill have about 2 to 3 weeks maybe less to finish filling before flipping planning on going at least 8 weeks veg. Nor really going for big plants Giving I have some bag seed that are test plants so I don't burn my others. Just trying to fill the room with a mixed method of sog with lst. 15 plants is packed well 20ish counting autos. I may cull one or 2 to allow for more room on the strain to fill the space. Would rather have some w.w or gsc in place of the test plant giving its the one that gets neglect sometimes and it's not kine bud. I was planning on going with a top dress in flower. But honestly flowering is where I'm needing to learn some shit still lol. I know teas are important. I was considering flower girl by Dr Earth for a top dress and continue with the kelp teas during flower? Seen where some recommend alfa alfa during flower some lean more towards kelp

I checked them 2 days ago. There were 2 that are close. I'll scope them this evening again. I was wondering if they was going to make it. The deficency hit fast as shit with these once in flower. Giving the fact the soil wasn't what I prefer.

By the way thank you. I've put a lot into it. Or feel like I have with the info I've gathered from fellow farmers including yourself and its greatly appreciated. I liked @Dirtbag set up. So another inspired by you sir. Have to give credit to @Aqua Man for first sharing the drain table idea. Then I seen the scale of dirtbags and said fuck yes. Wall to wall. Fill it lol

@ComfortablyNumb i fixed the height issue on the hlg. Using 4 ratchet/rope hangers instead of what came with the light which allows for about 6 more inches or so of hight I can raise it.

We have done a couple of grows with autos now. I've noticed that they are usually 3-month plants, seed to harvest. At least the ones we've been growing are. The big thing is the life cycle runs much faster in autos. What I at first thought was a nitro def turned out to be an early fade. I'm pretty sure that's what you have.

That and there is a issue of necrosis that set in. It slowed down when I started putting cal mag in feeding and I slacked on it closer to chop and it got worse. I see more mag deficency I think than I have in the past. Looks more like rot than rust spots but both are there

That looks like early fade. Autos go very quickly. If anything gets out of balance, you may not have time to fix it. That's another reason we grow in living soil. It takes care of most of the variables.

I do see issues on the leaves. When you harvest it, take pix of the roots.

Pull the whole ball from the pot intact and take pix as you peel it away. You're looking for tunnels in the soil as well as any kind of root issue.

You have about 75% milky trichs. That's pretty good, but 100% is best. The best we have done with autos so far is about 80%-85%. They change so fast that if you wait for a full milky plant, you're going to be well into amber on a big percentage. That may work for you.
