I grow in a ff mixture with some perlite. These are all photos. 4x4 tent with a tsw 2000 mars hydro. Haven't added any nutes yet only a little call mag once. Started them in these 5 gal cloth pots and slowly started to water out. Recently topped them. And tried to FIM one but didn't seem to (bottom right) so I topped it. 1 plant left un topped(top right)

How can you tell they need to be fed? Going to the hydro store today to pick up the fox farms nutrient trio. But they didn't seem to need to be fed yet.

FFOF doesn't have that big a supply of nutrients in it, as I recall. You don't want to wait until they show deficiencies. I'd start at a low level, like 1/4 of recommendations, and see what happens.

Mysticepipedon is a valid source (; also try not to splash/water on the leaves they can get diseases like that

If those are only 2 weeks old Id say you wouldnt need too much nutes if any. I wouldnt over do it by any means. Im right behind you at 12 days. Probably start feed after I top soon.

Ya right around 3rd. I think after the first 5er fan seemed to me the best. I think the general rule is after the 4th.

My two cents are that plants are a lot happier with slow, steady and always available vs random large doses. Use a pure water source and 2 - 3 drops of calmag per gallon of water each watering. If you are not growing organic flush often to keep salts from building up in the rhizosphere, and don't let the plant suck up the runoff when flushing.

Green side up^
