My 1st indoor/outdoor. ever lol

Started about 8 weeks ago; today I defoliated the fan leafs and did some LST, what are your thoughts, suggestions? Should I remove the remainder of Fan leafs?

Hi Learnit, welcome to the farm.

A bit late, but I would have recommended you did not defoliate yet. So to answer your current question - no leave that girl alone and let her recover. Did you FIM as well? Hard to see on that apical meristem if that was natural or cut.

Yes I FIM within the last few weeks, the undergrowth took off, but the fan leafs block a lot of light.

Understood so you are just looking for feedback on when and how much?

I love how Kyle Kushan does it

They block light but they also absorb the light and transform it to food and energy for the plant. Defoliation is for when they are big and bushy. You probably just set yourself back a couple weeks hacking that much off. Let that poor girl recover.

I agree. Watch that vid and see if it makes sense. He does a very good job about explaining what when why and how.
