Yes it says 1000w but it’s probably closer to 100. Never know what the actual wattage would be unless I got a meter but that’s expensive. Have it on 18/6 18 in away right now
Let me dig one up for you and do the conversion for blurple.

Do you have an android or apple?

I have an apple
Ooof ok let me look i just got one too but haven’t look into the apple apps for it yet. The conversation of lux to par is here in the meantime. Make sure you select the blue +red only because it’s a massive difference than the others

How do I know the lux though. I have two lux meters on my phone but they're both two very different numbers so I don’t know what’s accurate

Try this one.

Looking for about 3000-4000 lux approx right now at the tops of the plants. Because blurple reads far different since lux measures pretty much the green spectrum

if Ya worried about the stretch toluene on the blue on and calculat for only blue in the conversation on the website I linked

Again only blue would be between 2000 to 3000 lux on the app.

but I suggest starting around the 2k mark with only blue for a few day to a week to squat en down a bit if they are to leggy then both red and blue because there are benefits to each spectrum and you don’t want to run more than seedling stage in just blue.

i mean you can tinker with temps as that gardener suggested but not the way he suggests. You run cooler day temps then night temps (called negative diff) but honestly you don’t need to nor do I recommend it unless needed to curb an out of control plant during stretch

This is what my light looks like btw. When I try the app it says 1300-1500 Lux when I have my phone right over the plants and then it says 10,000 on another app and then 500 on another app. So it’s kinda all over the place.

That website converts lux to par from various sources. Right now you want 200-300ppfd so only blue then aroun 2500ish and if blue and red 3500ish lux on the app should be good

Honestly the lighting doesn’t bother me too much it’s just the watering I’ve been trying to get down. Can’t seem to get it right after about a year or two of trying to grow. I end up watering too little or too much. I’ve been trying to the scale method and It was 181.80g when I watered and it got to 230 after and I watered it again today once it got down to 186. Took about 4 days probably to go down that much. I’m not sure if I’m doing this right at all. I tried just seeing how heavy they are and trying that just by hand but it’s impossible for me to tell and I’m picking them up everyday to try and tell the difference. I’m Probably the worst person at watering

Just in some fox farms ocean forest. I’ve read that quite a few times but still can’t get watering down. I mean I go to feel the plant I check a few inches down in the soil and it’s dry and I try and pick it up to see if it’s really light and it usually is so I would go to water again but it ends up overwatering and causing the leaves to get full and die. I used to water too little too often and now I’m trying to fix that by watering more not as often but feels like I’m gonna mess it up again. I use about half a cup of water when watering in the solo cups since they’re 18 Oz. Just hard to know when to water again. The leaves Looked a little droopy this morning so I watered and they still look droopy to me. Not very droopy but still kinda noticeable.

Here is an oldie but goodie I did showing how fast a clone recovers from underwatering.

so many growers watering issues are over watering which is actually lack of o2 and caused by watering to often NOT to much at one time.

will help give you a visual perspective and back up my statement

Yes I watched that awhile ago when I first overwatered and underwatered back in 2020 haha

So I Have the app downloaded and purchased the blue+Red for the spectrum for a few bucks. So it should read 3000-4000 Lux on the app? It’s at 1500 and it’s about 18 inches away so should I move it closer?

I’m not sure on the app cause I haven’t used it. can you screenshot bith using the red blue and without?

What temp are you running and do you see much purpling on the stem or branching more so in the light exposed areas?

Now do you see a 10x anywhere on the 500?

ok to give me a better idea what brand is that? Kind LED? Or a link
