First time grow light burn or deficiency

Hello all,

New to all of this so any help would be much appreciated. Some stats...

Days since Sprout - 59
Days in Flower - 30
Seeds - Durban Poison Fem Auto. Is it possible that the plant to the right is the same strain as the left. Supposed to be the same but different in every way. Already have way better genetics for next run from Mephisto
Water - Tap water left out for 24hr to dechlorinate
Water PH - 5.9 - 6.2 because medium is coco

Water Method - Since this is my first grow, I started watering using solo cups. Now I'm watering with a 3 Gallon Sprayer. I think this changed the rate of nutrients uptake.

Grow Area - Basement office where I work from home so CO2 should be pretty high. No meter yet
Grow tent - 3x3x8 Gorilla
Grow Light - Kind Led X330
Light Height - 12"-24" - Probable cause
Pots - 7Gal Fabric
Fans - AC Infinity 4" CloudlineT4 w/ Controller 69 / Low Speed Stationary Fan on lower / oscillating fan just above canopy / Stationary fan above light. I'm aware this is overkill with the circulation
Humidifier - Coospider w/ inkbird controller
Medium - Bio365 BioFlower
Nutrients - I was told the above Bio365 should have enough nutrients to carry through to harvest.
Compost Tea - I've done 2 very light feedings. Molasses, worm castings and some down to earth amendments. Brew 24hr
Temp - 79-82F
Humidity During Veg - 70-75Rh
Humidity During Flower - 48-52Rh

Hypothesis -
1. I think the seed company gave me two different strains. Left vs Right
2. Light too close to plant. Right plant is shorter. Thinking that why it's doing so much better. Further from light.
3. Changing water technique to a long slow mist increased nutrient uptake due to very even watering compared to dumping solo cups filled with water like a savage. Reason for tip burn

Thoughts...questions...answers

All is appreciated

Looks hungry. Maybe water stress. The website for that soil states : "This is for the farmer who wishes to minimize inputs, and depend on the soil to deliver most of the nutrients the plant requires in the flowering stage". How frequently are you watering?

I'm watering 4L per plant every 5 days. If I water on Monday, the next watering would be Friday. Less water but more frequently during Veg.

Sounds like you are watering fine. I don't think it's light stress because the leaves in the shade are also showing the same yellowing. To me it looks hungry, I would start with a light dose of nutes to see how it responds.

For nutrients, is there any argument against Foxfarm Liquid Three pack, Big Bloom, Grow Big & Tiger Bloom?

Nice macro of the plant to the right of the above which I think is about ready for harvest. Again, first grow so let me know if you think i'm too early.

not ready yet and why you see this two extremely different phenotypes is probably because the inclusion of ruderalis genetics. as soon as opened this thread and saw your photo i said thats a sativa then i read the plant on the right bit (i didnt even see the plant on the right at that point) and its definitely not a sativa so most likely ruderalis leaning phenotype.

Grow big and big Bloom are fine. Don't use tiger bloom, find different bloom nutes. Plenty of negative info on tiger bloom if you look around.

Better photo. Yea they are advertised as Durban Poison Fem Autos. MAybe the one on the left, cause it looks like sativa. The one on the right can't be the same strain, can it?

Any recommendations?
I grow organically in soil, and have little experience with coco. There is a lot of info on different nutes and so many to choose from. I personally would go with a balanced nutrient program for the whole run and not worry about different bottles. Try Jacks or Master blend.

As i'm debating wether or not I want to stick with Bio365, could I ask what kind of soil you're using? Are you making your own blend or using something store bought?

auto part of autos comes from ruderalis, so it can be.
Really? Autoflowers can have that much of a difference in the same strain? Thats crazy. One reason I guess to stay away from autoflowers. I bought a second small cheap tent to dry the plant on the right cause its gonna finish so much earlier.

I make my own. I remember now reading about your soil. If you were in coco I'd go with the balanced salt nutrients like Jacks, but you're growing in soil. I would feed the Big Bloom that you have at full strength and look into topdressing or making compost tea. I like Dr. Earth Flower Girl.

Soooo I think you were right the first time. Now that I've looked back over my notes, I was watering too frequently and at too low of a PH. Bio365 recommends 6.2-6.5. Probably also the reason for the tip burn. I've been letting them dry out and waiting for the first signs of leaf droop to water again. Thanks for the help.

If you have the cash pick up a blumat soil meter for the pots. They’re about $75 on Amazon. It’s really nice to see how moist your soil actually is and you’ll know how much to water.

How much longer does the DP have left?

Thanks for the tip. We are on week 9 since sprout. The plant on the right should be any day now. Getting stanky. Checking the trichomes with a macro lens daily to learn how they behave.

As for the plant on the left... Should be about two-three more weeks if it comes back to health... I think

This is the plant on the left

This is why I recommend it:

I love the idea of smart pots but they dry out way to quickly and that may be the cause of some of your problems. I’m growing in a ‘living soil’ bed by grassroots. You can make your own version of it by wrapping some plastic/Saran wrap around the smart pots to help keep moisture in.

If you have the time check out Tad Hussey’s Cannabis Cultivation & Science podcast. He runs KISorganics and it’s full of good info and guests.
