So I’m doing my first grow ever and I’m not so familiar yet with all the symptoms that a plant can exhibit. This is my biggest plant and one of the leaves have started to bend in a way if you watch the video. I will also provide a video of my very simple setup. Feel free to give any comments about it.

They get water every 1-2 days, the humidity is ≈45-50%. The temperature inside the closet is about 21-23°C. I think the pH in the soil is about 6,8 if my tester is correct.

I appreciate all the help you can provide, thanks in advance.

Hi, The humidity could go up some, in veg I try for 65%, a small humidifier would help.....

also the temperature should go up just during lights on some as well 78f is optimal leaf temperature so as close to that as possible is best.....A small heat lamp works well I use a 50w ceramic in my flower tent and just a 150 water heat lamp on a dimmer switch in my veg room .......

water until saturated then let dry then saturate with feed then dry and so on. I also start in small pots and work up, I find it easier to maintain their watering / feeding

That is a creative way to vent the grow space.
Do you have a way to keep that area completely dark on the exhaust side when needed so that zero light leaks in?
(Even while the fan is running)

For a first time grow, I think 8 plants in that tight of a space will be... a challenge.
You didn't mention what strain(s) are you growing?

Why water "every two days"? Never water on a schedule like that, especially when they're that small, water them when they need it. Let them completely dry out between watering as one of the previous posters said. Water from the edge of the leaves outward, encourage your roots to spread out. Letting the ball dry out is crucial to root health and growth. This will alleviate 80% of future issues that arise from over-watering and your soil ball will absorb and release the water at a more predictable rate. Good luck.

Thanks so much for the reply. Since the video was taken i have bought a vent cover and placed over the exhaust fan. Do you think i need something more? Also i don’t think i understand what you mean by ”even while the fan is running”. I don’t want to misunderstand you before answering :)

4 of my plants are autoflowers (1 of which i have discarded since the video). The strain is amnezia. The other 4 (the 4 big ones) are bagseeds that i were lucky enough to make sprout. Therefore i dont know the strain. However because of this i am expecting that i will have to discard of possible male ones and hopefully by the end i will have about 5 plants. Do you think that is ok for a 60x110 cm grow space?

Thank you very much for the reply. I will try to make the air more humid. Is there another way around it or do i need a humidifier?

The temperature is 23.3° C when the lights are on. Is that close enough or would you still recommend me to buy a grow light? Do you think the leaf is curling in that way because of any of these things that you mentioned i should improve?

Hello and thanks for the reply. What i meant was that i water them when they need it and that just happens to be every 1-2 days for me, however i understand the confusion.
Also Thank you for the tip, i had no idea that watering that way is better. I will start doing it

Regarding the exhaust fan, it is a possible conduit for light to enter your grow space. Maybe not such a big deal with Auto's, but it could affect photoperiods in a negative manner during flowering. Also, looks to me like there is a light built into the fan itself. Looks like a fan from a computer.

As far as 5 plants in that space... it is a 3 foot x 3½ foot space, right? Take a look at this picture from an earlier conversation you are having with @PipeCarver ... his picture is 3 plants in almost the same sized space... so imagine 2 more in there.

I got you. The goal is to get the roots to look for water and expand as much as possible. Hell, I don't water until they're almost starting to wilt(when they're older). I've found watering around the base slows the plant down just a bit when they're younger and always water just past where the tips of the roots will be, which will basically be the perimeter of the tips of the leaves. It's how they feed trees...

Aside from temp and humidity go they should be increased you can go as high as 70 percent humidity but your plants are doing very well they are praying leaves that's what you want keep an eye on your watering try the weight method pick up your plant and if it feels light you water it if it still feels heavy dont water it. After you water it pick it up to see what I'm talking about
