I have my 8x4 tent in my basement up here in the northeast my RH in my tent with a passive intake is about 30% only using a 4” spider farmer exhaust (venting to the outside) it runs at a max speed of 60% with lights on to stay at 79f I’m running 2x humidifiers, to keep it up at 50-60% humidifiers shut off with the light timer at night , IMO basement is ideal, especially for passive intake I don’t need to cool the room it already is cooler than the house and I only have to deal with increasing humidity, I do run a radiator heater in the tent at night to keep the grow room around 69f as a low. If I moved my tent upstairs I’d have to deal with AC’s and drier air so for me it work perfect

Those are good temps and good humidity try more for 60 even 70 if you can plants grow like weeds when it's humid . I guess that's why they call it weed

Yeah I was trying to bump it up but with the hours I work I set 2x humidifiers on low, if I set them on high they only last about 8 hours and I’m out of the house for 14 hours at a time for work but on low they last about 18 hours so I put in 2x of them, I hate making the wife go in and take care of them she’s already got the kids to deal with all day haha, so I try to make it so she never has to go in the tent, I have 1 bottom flap on my AC infinity tent open on the opposite side as the exhaust filter/fan I don’t care about the light leaks (lights off 10pm till 4am) in the basement plus I’m running autos so I don’t worry about trying to block any small amount of light from leaking in at night

I also should add my basement is all finished walls with bare concrete floors so it pulls the nice cool air off the floor into the tent passively, luckily all the vents are mesh inside so I don’t have to worry about my cats getting into the tent lol

All of my tents are in my unfinished basement. Like everyone says, it will get humid down there and as you have to start running the dehumidifier 24/7 you will see the temps climb. I am using a 70 pint dehumidifier and can barely keep the humidity down, about 55-65%, but the temps climb up to 75 or higher because the dehumidifier puts out a lot of heat. When the lights go out the humidity in your tent will rise. I recommend a fan blowing in and and an exhaust fan. I try and find an exhaust fan that is slightly more CFM than the one putting air into the tent. It works for me, so far no issues. you want just a little vacuum in the tent. I see you covered the bottom vents on the tent, I do the same thing there. But you want to balance the air in and out of the tent so you don't suck the tent walls in and have an hour glass shape. Your 2x2 will shrink dramatically if you don't get a fan blowing air back into the tent. If you have the funds get a 4" fan that has a built in rpm control and then you can dial in the perfect air replacement using it to pull slightly more cfm than is blowing into the tent. I have actually been trying to find a decent price portable air conditioner to use in my basement instead of the dehumidifier so that it will keep the temps down and pull moisture from the air.

Hi, Ya I'm a basement grower as well.. I have to add heat and humidity in the winter and dehue the rest of the year. I've had to add a small ceramic heater to increase the temps to 78f with temperature too low it they don't use water fast enough. I have an intake and and exhaust fan I adjust the speeds to control the temp but they run 24/7 along with sm over head fans. My dehumidifier is running 24/7 Mid April - Mid Dec.

With my 1000w hps running it gave me 78f I used panda plastic panels to contain the heat around the plants but without the hps running heat has to be added to the room the house temperature is not enough in the basement to keep plants thriving.......living??? barely.
