No. I can't see how that was true. It had a many fan leaves as it needed.

Both plants where trimmed today before pics and yes those are buds that is why I'm confused

only way it could have blossomed is if you put in on a 12 hr cycle. You need a 18hr cycle for young vegs.

I'm guessing monstercropped clones and it was crazy revegging so he trimmed the leaves. If I'm right, you want to take off the buds and let it grow crazy. Don't defoliate new clones. If you grew this from seed, then I would say it's an auto that got underwatered in a huge pot. Just my initial thoughts. We need info.

IMO topping is to keep a christmas tree shaped plant from getting too tall like a bushy ball with one top growing too tall that there will be one bud too close to the light and the rest too far... it's for canopy control. If I top the plants at least 2 feet tall and has one top growing too tall. The plant should be 1-3 feet by now but no big deal most people don't get it on their first grow but it should grow many feet tall in every direction especially outside and THEN start to bud, your plants are flowering ultra prematurely maybe because they think they are going to die so they are trying to reproduce early like a tomato growing a few little tiny green fruit instead of branching out first.

My advice on your next grow keep the sciccors away from them until they are at least 2 feet tall and you don't even really need to top outside anyways.

The stem looks thick and "rooty" for it's age maybe overwatering? How often do you water?
