I didn’t want to start a diary from seed like my first couple of grows. They weren’t total failures, but wasn’t as successful as I wanted. This is my 3rd grow and so far they’re much nicer than the first two. I really hope nothing crazy happens between now and harvest.
Grow info:
Strain: Hotrod F2 and Brandywine from Dungeons Vault Genetics
Day 38 from 12/12 flip, 4 week veg on the hotrod and 3 week for Brandywine from sprout.
3x3 spider farmer tent
Light: HLG 260 rspec v2
Medium: Fox Farms Coco Loco in 3gal Rain Science grow bags
Nutrients: Jacks 321 (Bill Farthings “The Recipe”)
Started them in solo cups and just gave plain tap water, never ph’d. Did a much better job transplanting them this time. One thing I will do next grow is before planting them in their new home, I will break the roots loose a little on the bottom..
I didn’t start feeding them in their new homes for about 2 weeks, probably could have gone a little longer. Never had any leaf issues when feeding “The Recipe” at 80%. I’m going to go back to straight coco next run.
The Brandywine started out rough, only 2 of 5 germed, which I think I kept them too wet. The 2 that germed had a rough time getting going. Almost culled them both.
After about 7 days from flip, I found my first males, after sexing them all, I ended up with 3 males and 3 females. About a week later, one of the females ended up being a herm. Caught early and killed off.
So ended up with 2 girls, one of each strain. Now we are on day 38 since 12/12 flip. I think they look ok. Far better than my previous grows. Here is what we lookin like today.
Hot Rod F2:
Brandywine:
If anyone has any tips or advice I’m all ears. Really hoping to cross the finish line this time with no issues!!
