So my well water makes my skin itchier than all hell.
So I sent some to a lab for full analysis.
Came back excessive iron and manganese. "Tho deemed not deadly".
The ph tends to ride around the sweet spot 6 or 6 1/2
Is the high iron and manganese a problem?
Is it gonna make my plants itchy too you think?

Do they make some sort of coating for rusty pipes that just coats everything over? Like motorcycle fuel tank stuff.

Could you post the analysis? And your method of growing. Otherwise any feedback is just a wild-guess... Cannabis is Manganese-sensitive in the way it swiftly reaches a toxicity if Ma is overboard the recommendations

Might take me a minute to find the paper.

What might a plant start doing if it was a bit much?
Or would it just taste really harsh at the end of it all.

You probably need to do the same thing I had to do recently and shock your well.. There's a million youtube videos on how to do it but basically you buy some regular Clorox bleach with at least 6% sodium hypochlorite and no fragrances (and make sure it's not the splash-less bleach as it is NOT normal bleach and will not disinfect, check ingredients for sodium hypochlorite)

Depending on the size of your well you'll want to pour anywhere from a couple cups to a gallon or two of bleach down your well - let it sit for 6 to 24 hours and then flush it out (you start at the faucet in your house furthest from the well) until you no longer smell chlorine.

Should help quite a bit. Usually the iron is a result of what's known as "iron bacteria". They combine iron and manganese with oxygen and often create deposits of "rust" that sticks to everything.

Here's a chart I found for shocking your well with liquid bleach

You can find all sorts of information on how to do this online. It's a fairly common practice and should be done to maintain your well once every few years, anyway.

Run the water thru your medium then check the pH if good your good, if you have hard well water you may want to distill it, or buy water at the quicky mart $1gal.

If you run organics just make sure you have a healthy MO culture running, these are usually strains that are strong enough to kill other bacterias.

Still, the elements dissolved in water remain.

Here's a helpful article based on academic research, that can give you some basic pointers on ppm levels.

Keep in mind your growing method can exert great influence on nutrition values, esp. the frequency of fertigation.

Two types of iron, bacterial and free ion. Let a clear glass of it sit overnight so the iron oxidizes. Red tint is free iron, slimy buidup is bacterial. If its still clear after 48 hours its not that bad. Do have red stains around the tub drain?

Yes its the bacteria thingies.
So regular clorox and make sure it has 6% sodium hypochlorite. Thank you.
