I'm ordering my gypsum and rock dust blend right now. I'm in the states so Amazon was my only choice unfortunately. F'n Amazon! I can pick up the rest locally. I appreciate you hooking me up with this thread, the other is just me repeating myself over and over answering questions about stuff I have in the thread. I should be done asking questions, you guys have everything covered. I'm even gonna try the pro mix, ewc and perlite 50%, 25%, 25% mix. Thanks again growmies!🤟🤟🤟
Epsom is magical. Noticeable increase in plant vigor once I started using it! Let me know how your girls respond

do you water until there is runoff when using the 50%/25%/25% promix, ewc and perlite mixture. Also, does the promix and Gaia green recipe have the tendency for the ph of the soil to lower naturally? Everything I read about dolomite lime is that it helps raise the ph of soil. Wondering if I need to add the lime since my soil ph always goes up naturally, but that’s using fox farm soil and nutes. What do you and primo clones think?

Always completely saturate and water until just a tiny bit of runoff - that gets soaked up pretty quickly anyways. I already discussed pH on the last page but pretty much I don't add or adjust anything pH wise with my grow. I use ~8 pH tap water and then I rely on the alkalinity of my soil to balance out over the ~4 months it is being used. Where you might want to follow @PrimoClonesCanada with the addition of the Oyster shell etc. is if you are reusing your soil.

Perfect! Thank you very much. I can't wait for these lil gals to come out of the solo cups. Already have your step by step schedule laminated and hanging on my shelves. 🙏🤟

Post a grow journal so we can follow along (if you feel comfortable) :)

Shaded, I’m curious about the yield you’re getting from this. What are you pulling from those 5 gallon pots and what kind of lights are they under?

Hello, was reading the thread and was curious. if i am giving cal mag in nutes already, can i use epsome salt in addition too? or is that instead of cal mag nutes. thanks.

Epsom salt is Magnesium Sulfate so adding it on top of a CalMag protocol probably isn't the best idea. But you could look into swapping your current Calcium/Magnesium supplement for Egg Shells & Epsom Salts.

How do you use your egg shells do you have to crack them perfect / how do you clean off the egg white from the shell

I don't use that recipe personally it was just something I came across. I get my calcium from my Gypsum and my magnesium from my Epsom in addition to whatever the Gaia Green and my tap water naturally produces :)

Gypsum = Calcium Sulfate
Epsom = Magnesium Sulfate

I would hard boil some eggs, crack em, dry them and then boil the shells with the epsom. You can take the shells out of the solution at the end, you are just using the liquid.

Thank you for the kind words, just trying to help others so they don't have to suffer through my growing pains :) I start using the Gypsum and Rock Dust the second that I begin my nutrients in veg which is usually my first transplant into the 1gallon:

I will then start to incorporate Epsom salts around flower time or when I start to really push the PPFD. Good question!

Amen to the growing pains. We read a little bit here and there and all of a sudden we're horticulturalists trying to make our own batch of nutes. It's awesome having someone to follow that has already learned we're not. Here's yo shit to follow! Thanks brother!

Finally got a grow going in the 3x3. This is Baby Shark Auto. It is a local cross done with Great White x Bloody Bananas. It’s not a heavy producer but suppose to be dank and stony. The seeds were free so WTF lets give it a go. Going to be doing this grow with Ocean Forrest with Gaia Green starter kit consisting of there 4-4-4, 2-8-4 and Glacier Dust and Recharge. The pots are #5 nursery pots with a total volume of 4.50 gal. We will be using approx. 4.25 gal. of media in them. Perfect size pots for auto’s imho. Used enough Ocean Forrest to fill up the four pots then dumped them into a tub. Added one 4lb bag of earth worm castings. Then filled the earth worm castings bag up with Ocean Forrest from the tub. I then mixed in 8 tbsp. of Gaia Green 4-4-4, 6 tbsp. of Gaia Green 2-8-4 and 4 tbsp. of Gaia Green Glacier Dust. I mixed this mess up until it hurt, then mixed the soil some more. Filled the pots back up and Transplanted the week old seedlings right into there grow home pots. I then put 1 tsp of recharge in one gal of water and set the ph at 6.6. Each seedling got 100 ml watering and the rest of the gallon got divided up and ring watered the pots in to get the organic stuff going. From here on out I will top dress maybe 3 or 4 times with the Gaia Green and hit them with the Recharge every 7 to 10 days. They will get some Epson Salt here in a couple of weeks. Lights are drawing 116 watts, 79F, 75% RH, good VPD and PPFD. Just going to let them go and see what happens. The Gnomes are in, it’s a grow!

When growing organically PROPERLY, you stop using nutrients in the last few weeks to allow the plant to use up all of the remaining nutrients in the soil, so there is no need to flush the plants. Flushing is only required if you use too many nutrients and don't stop fertilizing until it's too late.

This is a well known myth that has been debunked. Feed your plants until the finish. Fortunately with the way Gaia Green works in 4 week blocks most of the time the last "feed" is about 4-5 weeks before chop.

41:25 is when they get on the discussion of flushing and feeding to the end.
