Do you guys have a wet fall? This is my first outdoor New England grow and everybody from this region strongly encourage me to defoliate before September. In the deep south it's very humid most of the summer and fall so a defoliation is mandatory or you most certainly would have mold problems. I'm just curious, I'm so used to growing in one climate so I'm having to relearn how to grow up north. The only thing I will say is New England has really good natural soil qualities. Where I'm particularly located at it is very sandy soil but since I'm deep in the forest there's so much natural compost. It just all absorbs in the ground and everything seems to grow. Very awesome. It's also goes for the same vegetables that I grew in the south compared to up here. I will say up here everything seems to grow way better and a whole lot Happier.

The fall is damp here. I’m very close to the ocean. We get morning dew that don’t burn off till late morning, in the sun. Everyone gets mold, unless you bring your plants inside. It’s very manageable. Mold is a problem, but not end of the world problem. I’m more worried about hurricane’s. They fuck up everything. I have great dirt down here too, great for everything.

I suffered hurricanes and severe storms(tornadoes) at least 4-6 time a year usually around august through October. It was pretty challenging to grow plants down south. Definitely outdoor inground plants. Plus that red clay was very crappy quality so you were almost 100% guaranteed. Have to use compost or some type of potting soil even in ground because that clay would compact so hard that the roots couldn't grow and it stunted the plant growth and plus the soil doesn't have much nutrient to it. It was very high in calcium and iron but it was not good for nitrogen or anything else. So far everybody tells me there might be a little bit of wind up here, but there is no tornadoes or hurricanes that come through here. I think the biggest risk for the plants in this region for my understanding is the moisture and then the weather being so bipolar. But so far I've got five trees outside and they are doing fantastic. The North is definitely a whole lot more hospitable to my girls than it was down south. And I didn't really get much color change in my plants down south due to it just always being warm or hot. But up here I've already started seeing a lot of purpling in my plants. It could be 75 80° and then at night time drops down to the 50s. Low 50s at that. So I'm starting to see a lot of color change in my plants. If I can learn how to grow up here and all the knowledge I have from growing down south, I feel like I could grow outdoor plants about anywhere. Either way, your girls are beautiful and I'm pretty sure you got way more experience growing outdoors in New England than I do.

Central, like geographical center. Not far from Worcester and Springfield. Now granted I'll be the first one to say that where I'm originally from cannabis is still illegal. So of course I gorilla grown my plants down south. And I've been growing ever since I was 14 years old and I'm in my mid to upper thirties now. I learned a lot of tricks on how to evade the police and some really cool tricks on how to grow without it being noticed and to keep the animals from eating it. So if you ever want to do a gorilla grow just to have fun I can share some of my knowledge as well.

Yeah,I know all about gorilla growing. Choppers used to fly over my old place constantly doing busts. Nothing makes you more nervous,lol. Cops seem pretty laid back around here now. At my new place last yr was outdoors watering plants & cop drove down gas well road which never happens. I almost had a heart attack but he looked at me & plants & rolled right by,lol.

I suffered from the opposite move took me a crop or two to really figure it out - up there trees to finish in October , down here I don’t finish till Xmas and winter’s are super dry instead of soaking wet . Good luck you got it

I love the cape! Wish I made enough to live there. Western Mass is really nice too. Definitely in the Berkshire mountain area. Along with upstate New York is really lovely. We ended up in Hunter, New York. And some my tricks I learn gorilla growing I learn from the old hippies from the '60s and '70s. Some of it was quite ingenious and a couple of them I come up with myself. If I was a ever go back to the south and it doesn't pass federally then I'm going to continue to grill a grow. But living up here in New England has gave me the opportunity to tend to my plants and actually have them on my property where I can give them as much care that I need to do. So they're coming out way better than they would have ever came out down there. I've only grown one or two trees and all those years I grew down there and I took a big chance doing that. But now that I'm able to grow legally in this state without any repercussions ever plan I have. I'm shooting for a tree outdoor.

When I was a teenager I would have been so amazed to see that. People in my area do that on the nature trails. It was a couple weeks ago. Me and my family were taking a walk down. One of the nature trails close by my property and I looked over and something just caught my eye and lo and behold somebody had planted two male cannabis plants on the side of the trailhead in a little clearing.

We used to Canoe down river and plant every year ! Ck 5/6 times and harvest easy peazy ! Lol god I can’t believe we smoked that crap!
