Week 1: Started this seed in a humidifier dome and removed once the seed sprouted from soil. Added a bit of water 3 days ago. Going on day 2 of leaf drooping, but soil is completely dry 2-3 inches down. Don’t want to add water because I’ve seen this as overwatering issues.

Suggestions / Salvage possible?

Yeah, water it. Welcome to the farm 🧙‍♂️🌲

I water it and it curls even more.

What kind of light are you using and how close is it to the plants? If it's a dimmable LED, what power level is it at?

You are probably killing it with light.

How many times have you watered it? once to presoak it before you planted the seed, and probably once more by now im guessing?
Hard to overwater a seedling if your using what to me looks like a potting soil, much easier to underwater it at this stage.

Over watering seedlings seems to be one of the most common problems newbies have.

@Newbie2Yields - Stick your pinky about an inch into the soil. Is it damp/wet? Then stop watering it.

Cannabis is an upland plant that hates wet soil.

3 times since pre soaking. Using Fox Farm Fish Soil.

Raised the light at 50% to about 2.5’-3’ and watered it with 15ml of water. Not perfect but not as droopy.

Thank you. That’s my fear; overwatering. However I may have under-watered this go around.

Look better, but still don’t look healthy.

Way too big of a pot for your seedlings. If you look around you'll see most people start them in solo cups. Its easier to control your watering needs in a small pot. roots won't grow into dry soil and as your watering now you have no idea where your root zone is. You should do more than just water the plant. You need to water the soil, It should have been saturated then dry then saturate then dry.. When watering in a large pot the dry soil will wick the water away from where its needed around your roots. I'd soak that sucker real good and let er grow.

It doesn't help that he's in a massive pot :p this is almost certainly underwatered(and prob too much light as @Heywood mentioned). I'm really tempted to do a vlog series with my Romulan seedlings trying to !@#$ing drown them and showing people how hard it is to actually do.

What causes over-watering is either not having drainage holes, low porosity soil, pots sitting in excess runoff water, or constantly watering your medium without letting it dry back.

water to saturation (80-100 ml for a solo cup) every time you water.

I agree water it to moisten every inch of soil and turn the light down to a minimum at least 3’ away.

90% of seedling issues is light to intense

Over watering is not to much water its lack of o2 from watering to OFTEN.

Next time start in solo cups with a weak small fluorescent or LED light.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions and ideas! I will have to share the aftermath of all your suggestions…stay tuned for updated pictures!

Thank you everyone for the help! What a difference just two days makes. Appreciate the help.

Raised my lights up to about 2.5-3’ and gave more water.
