Today 52 adding burnt rice husks for silica followed by plain water to soak it into the plant. Going well, intesting the ash and charcoling generate a nice complement to the odifourus weed. 12/12 going to do the staged harvest. FyI, my local market had a vendor hawking small buds at @50 USD per gram. Sure enough one punter walked up and got something.

Not much new on the grow calyx growth swelling, firming up. Dont see amber yet in day 57. Exotic genetics says 63 days so we will see. Going for a staggered harvest so the bottom middle can fulfill their manifest destiny. Meanwhile outside in the front it is POURING down, typhoon like. Heard the loudest thunderclap the other night, wife says "fear" in Thai. I thought mebbe someone opened a bowling alley (@ night).

Wow! Nice frost! Beautiful colors! Looks like you may have hit it out of the park with this grow! Very impressive for a young squirt! Enjoy the thunder and lightning. We don’t get it much around here. But when we do, it starts fires! Looking good brother!🙂👍

TYVM young brother, appreciate your help. Encouragement matters and waiting to see who is doing what where on the farm motivates me to get up and start making coffee in the AM.

Today saw maybe 10-20% amber and a lot of milky trichs so I started the partial harvest. Nothing scientific but the ones in the blue condo were the 1st choppe volunteers. Very nice smells of clean rain, resin, temple incense and honey. I will cover the condo tomorrow at 1rst light. So we will re evaluate in the am. I have an empty condo ready for the next round. Commander Cody, as usual, was 0 help.

Day 3 of partial grow sequential harvest. Took off a few more likely branches this morning and loaded them into condo #2. Moved the lights lower day 63 of flower. Should i water? I think water some but dont give em too much. Still 10%-20% amber, mostly still on the sugar leaves. Lowered temp to 20 with 60-70 rh. Didnt bother condo #1 (shhhh)

Ahhh! The carefree condo life! Well, almost. Looking good! Will be interested in your opinion of, sequential, harvesting. Whether you think it’s worth fucking around with her or not. I am old-fashioned, and still drought stress them just before chop. Looks like it’s all working out. Talk to you later.

[/QUOTE] Drought stress it is then thanks for that. Also thinking it is a good day to increase the UV to 8 hours, then check trichomes again. Once the ladies get inside the condo they rest on their fan leaves so the buds are being pampered. Also planning to let some 'die on the vine' while everyone else is drying. That will give an interesting comparison for darkness B4 chop fans. If us young people aren't gonna experiment --

I think drought stressing is controversial like most things in pot growing. Mostly an outdoor tactic in warm dry climates. We used to do it in Humboldt 45 years ago. You would assess your plants and if you thought you were going to harvest in a week you would quit watering them. At the time I always thought it seemed to produce stickier buds. Don’t know as it would work in a humid environment. I still do it. Might be considered bro science now. But I am in a hot dry climate and slow to change my ways! L O L. I don’t think It is an accepted practice indoors but I could be wrong. But it wasn’t something that happened over a day or two. You had to do it for a week at least. I still do. I think it helps a little. Knowing you, you will research it some. Just another way of playing with them and making things interesting. Never stop questioning the norm!

I am still debating the nail or screw through the stalk stressor. There are still people up in the hills around here they do that and swear by it. I like giving some of this anecdotal shit a try. It’s pretty benign and the plant is Almost at the end of life anyway.

Screw this. That was fun, nailing very difficult as you can see. Broke several more stems today for what could be 'thats another legend' category. Could do another few days B4 seeing results. Partial harvest learn by doing. @NotFrankster, @dire wolf taught me everything I know.

Tomorrow lower temp 21 or 20. Lower smaller light, trichome recheck and move tops to luxury condo #2.

I can hear your wife now. Look mom, I think he’s finally lost it!

OK, day 4 the ladies were watered after 1 week of dry shock and we'll see what happens tomorrow. My thought is that we'll see more amber on the frostier buds and I plan to cut them off and put them in Condo #2. This will likely take at least another week, we'll see if I can hang in and get some more production from the middle. Pretty much Monday will be the big evaluation date and the condo dwellers hit the bags. What I'm also wondering and thinking is dial back to 1 hour a day for the UV so they're still getting it, but not enough to interfere with growth. If it ends up just tiny larf then we still learned partial harvest technique.

Filled up condo 2 with tops that looked mature and blocking the lower level. Lowered the lights, mebbe go lower still. The partial harvest persists and happy to see some buds buried getting their Place in the Sun.

Partial harvest day 6, not sure how close the lights should be for this phase. Not a lot of information on partial grows (that I could find) but thinking that it will be at least another week is required. Still will wait for amber to show their true colors.

@Oldchucky & @Aqua Man thanks for your encouragement! Any thought on how close these Mars Hydros should be to the tops? @dire wolf -- haven't heard from you lately -- can I get a hrrumph out of you kindly sir?

I don’t grow indoors! How is that for a copout? But an uneducated guess would be the same distance you had it from the ones that finished. And it looks like you have plenty left there to make this a worthwhile experiment. Unfinished weed sucks! Lol

Now let me get back to what I was doing. I’m sitting out here reading my girls a bedtime story. They love, Goldilocks and the three Bears!
