Anyone dip buds in Honey Oil?????

So I was smoking the other night and wondering what could be done to make the most potent weed possible and I was wondering if anyone has ever dipped or coated buds in honey oil?

I know you can just put oil in a bowel with weed but it would be cool to have the oil allready on the bud.

My idea's were to either dip a bud in honey oil with the oil as hot as possible so its thinned out but I think it might not thin out enough and one bud would hold to much oil.

The other Idea was to spray coat them somehow....with like a modified Air brush???

Is there anything someone could mix with the oil to dilute it some, that way a single bud isnt coated with $100 in oil. Also another benifit of adding something to dilute the oil would be maybe to thin it out...so it could be sprayed possibly, or if dipped it would only leave a thin coat on the bud......

Correct me if im wrong but if someone has a strain of weed that 20% thc, you could add approx 1 gram of honey oil spread over an 1/8th of weed and the weed would be probly be over 40% THC.....

Ive seen dispensaries that sold honey covered nugs for ridiculous amounts of. :cash:cash. Which is a great idea if you want to upgrade your less than desirable mid-grade. I'm not sure how the oil was applied, though I assume it was sprayed.

My friends use Headband or OG and soak it with the same strains oil.

A lb of their honey bud goes for $10,000, or $25 a gram. The clubs sell it for $50 - $60 a gram.

It is truly STRONG medicine, best for poeple with Insomnia and chronic pain. The smoke it so strong it literally tightens up the front of your head and makes you break out in a sweat with 1 hit.

it would be hard to DIP bud in good honey oil as good oil goes very hard when cool.
your best bet would be to dissolve some in a bit of iso alcohol and spray the buds.
Also wouldn't be great for rolling spliff with as would get bit sticky but would be great in bong/vap

i've done it, but i dont think its a good use of oil, you go through waaaay more than needed, the vapor globe will geek you out with a pin tip

You could make a tincture out of your oil to thin it out (still would be thick). Then dip a bowl sized amount of bud in it and let it Drip Dry.

That would get a bud pretty much coated in oil.

Black market stuff that was categorized as "The Good Shit" was bud that was coated in thinned out black hash oil...

OK, so here is "the secret".

You have to make the honey bud when you make the oil. You take the bud and put it in your pyrex glass baking pans and blow your oil directly into the tray of bud. You can stir it around a bit to make sure it all gets coated. Let it cure like you always would.

You can't make the same product by melting already processed oil and dipping it in. The oil just sticks to the outside but DOES NOT soak into the bud.

When done correctly this is one of the strongest marijuana products you can make.

Quick question, if I could tap your brain real quick. How much Honey would I need to make an ounce of covered bud?

Granted, I understand that density and weight are different... I'm talking ballpark. Maybe it would take Two Ounces of bud to make One Ounce of nicely coated bud?

hey pandaman, if you add two weights together you will get the sum, so if you add an ounce of bud, and a quarter of oil you will get an ounce and a quarter, as for how much oil you need to cover an ounce, not sure exactly, but a fair bit would be my guess, anywhere from an eighth, to 10 grams or so would be my guess,

Probably the best way to do this hassle free would be as follows (purely from speculation).

First, you would need to find out how much solvent (X)g of herb will absorb.

Say, measure out 100ml ethanol, add 5g herb, and see how much ethanol remains. Just for an example we'll say 75ml is left, so 25 ml is absorbed. If 25ml was absorbed into 5g, then your cannabis holds ~5ml solvent per gram of material.

So, you want an ounce of honey bud. 28g x 5 ml = 140ml solvent needed to fully absorb into 28g material.

Now, how strong do you want it. Assuming you are starting with really really good herb, and really really good oil, here is a further example.

Herb 20% THC. Oil 80%THC.

If we want to make the herb 4x stronger, we would need 5x the thc. One ounce @ 20% THC = 5.6g thc in the ounce initially. 4 times that is 22.4g/thc.

To find out how much oil we need to add to our solvent, we take the desired final THC concentration minus the starting material THC concentration. So, 22.4-5.6 = 16.8g. Now, our oil isn't 100% THC, so we need to take that into account as well. Since its 80% THC, we would need 125% of our expected needed oil amount to make up for the impurities. This amount is 21g of 80% oil. The weaker the oil, the more needed to get the requested potency increase.

So, 21g of oil are dissolved in 140ml ethanal. After complete dissolution, the 28g of flowers are soaked in the solution. If done correctly, they should absorb all of the solvent material.

Now, there is 22.4g THC in 49g of oiled cannabis. This yeilds herb with 47% THC content.

Sounds good you say, but the math doesn't jive. 47% isn't 4 times stronger, its just about 2x stronger. What gives? The added weight of the oil changed the aforementioned ratio since the overall weight was increased. I will run this scenario again and try to figure out how much starting material of flowers and cannabis will be required to make 1 oz.

ok so how does adding oil to bud get you more stoned i like oil because it is more pure than bud and does not give the unwanted effects of carcinogens it seems kind of redundent. you wanna get more stoned smoke more oil lol.

wow, this honey bud sounds mind blowing. not to mention, extremely lucrative.

I imagine that it would be a right pain to use probably getting the oil from the outside of the buds everywhere, fingers, grinder etc.
I think the method of keeping them separate is probably best and then mix them together just prior to smoking. I like to drip a blob of BHO or ISO on top a loaded bong or pipe before I hit it up.

Wrong, wrong, wrong - quit repeating those fairy tales. Although i'm sure people have dipped bud in any numbers of substances and called it "Thai Stick", the real deal was just really, really intense bud packaged on a stem. At that time (mid 70's), real Thai was so far above the level of most tokers experience that people couldn't believe it was just pot - hence all the cockamamie stories we still see repeated to this day.

FTR, i smoked the real deal - (a lot), right out of the soldiers duffel bag...

When I first started making oil I would wait until most of the butane has gone and throw a couple buds in to soak up the oil. Nothin easier than that, but then again you dont know how much oil u have, and u have u a good day wait till u should smoke it.
