It's a mutation maybe polyploid where the dna got screwed up somewhere.Howdy,
I just harvested a plant and found that the top of the plant bent down slightly and grew a solid clump of growth. This is
unlike anything I've seen in my short growing history.
Thanks
Yep that's what is for the flat stem. It's the 2nd one I have had, the first was a sensi star but it was flat from when it broke ground, this one was normal then went flat.I believe this is called either fasciation or polyploidy.
Fasciation is usually where 2 or more stems fused together and grew as one.
Polyploidy is where it contains more than 2 complete sets of chromosomes.
My guess is fasciation. Ive seen it before in my tent.
WOW. The stem on mine was flat as well. Do you know if it will still be smokeable? FYI, the seed came from abroad. It's a mutation maybe polyploid where the dna got screwed up somewhere.
this is another perhaps even more mutated,(downloaded) and a stem on one I'm growing now. It was normal up to about 2 feet then went completely flat.
Completely smokeable.WOW. The stem on mine was flat as well. Do you know if it will still be smokeable? FYI, the seed came from abroad.
I havent tried it yet nor cloned it. It was a vigorous one though,it's an ak47 and I'm doing a seed run of the best 12 females out of a batch and 2 of the latest males that did not go into flower during veg cycle, the flat stem one is a female and I'll seperate the seeds in case it's a standout or a flop and learn.WOW. The stem on mine was flat as well. Do you know if it will still be smokeable? FYI, the seed came from abroad.
