Just warmed a card up with HLG for a new 650R. They made me a offer to good to refuse. It was upgrade my 260 Rspec setup to Diablo boards and drivers or the 650R. They made it worth my while to just get the 650R. Move the UVA-30 from the dually 260’s to the 650R and call it done. Dual 350R’s w/UVA30-XL in the 2 x 4 and a 650R w/UVA-30 in the 3 x 3. Power and Control, It’s like getting a new Sport Bike to me… LMAO!!

Woo-Hoo 650R has shipped! I know I get giddy as a school girl over such stupid things. But on the other hand this is the end of the upgrade path. There is nowhere else to go for my grows and setup. So that is kind of depressing on a selfish sort of level. I know what’s coming from HLG and there about to turn the grow light industry on there ear. But none of it applies to my style and size of grows, damit… Maybe down the road. But for now I will take the great uniform PAR spread and penetration from center, corner to corner and edge lighting. Massive power, control and efficiency for my size tents with a great spectrum.

I still have ChilLED Logic Pucks with Growmau5’s logo on them, before he left and joined HLG.

I would like to see HLG release bar style lights, they make really good stuff, if they had bar lights I might buy them.

Out of curiosity - are you affiliated with HLG? Or just quite the enthusiast?
I see you have a big banner of theirs in your grow lab.
I am a enthusiast. If not a near worthless fanboy. I understand and know what short coming HLG has. And believe me they are very aware of there short comings also. I have developed a relationship of sorts with HLG that I do infact enjoy very much. If I were to come out of retirement I would be wanting to go to work for HLG at the manufacture rep level. I have insight into the business of lighting that goes back to the 1970's because of my father and other folks in the industry and all the work I've done concerning lighting from a electricians view point to learning about all the spectrums of lighting and using them in hospitals, casino's, tv/movie production, grows ect. ect. I keep up with the tech that is quietly being developed in the background and who owns some of the patents/tech and follow the near silent information trails. And I like the people at HLG and the level of service they all work towards supplying. I wish I could share what I know,,, I just can't. The people that help us as customers are also some really smart, hardworking and down to earth real peeps. The last 20 years of my working career I was a manufactures rep in Boiler, Chiller, Pump and Control world. With my specialty being pumps and system wide controls, then boilers, chillers, blowers and ventilation. I've worked at the factory level with Cleaver Brooks, Babcox Wilcox, Rapak, Lochinvar, Carrier, Trane, Bell & Gossett, Aurora, Gould, McDonald & Miller, Spirex/Sarco, Spence/Nickleson and others. And not one of those companies vibe like HLG at any level. If a company supports me with quality and honesty of product, service and simplicity. I support them.

Hang in there. You think Growmau went and changed his life and what he does on a whim. He changed his life and what he was doing to be a part of something.

Right on! Thanks for your perspective.
I've seen them as a cut above many manufacturers even from my outsider's perspective, so it's nice to back that inclination up with enthusiastic real-world reviews.
