Do you blokes do tissue culture aswell? Bit above my pay grade that but interesting as hell I think I may have seen Bud do it on here before 🤔 might be mistaken can 1 of you blokes gimme the layman’s terms on how that works?

Layman's terms - you cut the apical meristem er, yeah, layman's, right.

Grab some tissue from the top of the plant.
Sterilize it
Put it in a sterile rooting solution
Put it in the fridge
Use it in 6 months just like you would a clone.

Yeah there is a big challenge with the media and nutrients and it can take close to a yr from my understanding

What is meant by resetting genetics?

If you are saying will it remove any pathogen, any virus, then yes. Since you are taking the closest thing to a stem cell from the plant to propagate, you will eliminate any traits brought out by the conditions the donor is in.

Will it repair chromosomes, nope.

Will it modify DNA in any way? nope.

Will it revert to a younger version of itself? Yeah, that's where it gets into the bro science area.

Well i may be misinformed but if I remember right it can repair those but there is a very very specific part of the tissue that needs to be taken and its a very difficult process to do in your home.

just going off what i think i remember not fact

Nope your right… I didn’t even know there was a super hero until after i made the username… i chose it because of my love for all things water… i spent many many yrs breeding fish and propagating aquatic plants to sell to pet stores. So naturally hydro was my starting point as water is a familiar comfort for me

That’s awesome man, to already have a natural connection in something new, you already had the initial spark and makes it feel kinda familiar. I never even thought about growing even after been a consumer for like a decade and after seeing my brother try to start up his garden. It was I moved out to a 6 acre property in Madera county in cali and got in touch with nature that I was drawn to the art of cultivating cannabis. After diving into all the types a mediums and techniques and spending thousand of dollars I prefer growing organically with soil.

What I meant by reset was it would create a version that has the vibrance of a new seedling. This may be bro science but I was told HLV can make the jump in tissue culture as well. I have one plant that I receive that was a clone of a Tissue cultured mother. It did display the traits of cloning a new seedling.
I just wish I had a nice laminar flow hood like many of the Commercial mushroom guys use to preform tissue culture work!!!!
