Hey farmers hope your having a good Monday. Im an old school HID light grower crossing into the way of the future of indoor grow lighting (LED’s) I’m learning about DLI and how to measure and calculate it. I’m looking for a decent free app for iPhones to measure and a decent chart/calculator to dial it in. I want ti set up my Spider Farmer G300W in my 3x3 veg tent to maximize my plants before the flip but also don’t want to burn them. Any information about this subject would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance ✌🏼

yes, Photone will calculate your DLI too, but it doesn’t do it for white LEDs without buying the upgrade for $5.99. The free app will be “directional” but not as accurate as possible. I felt like it was worthwhile to pay for the white LED.

I have been using Photone for Android and like it. It seems to work well even though it's in beta.

I bought the LED spectrum on photone and it worked well. It's been a while so i'm not sure if it's actually better than the free spectrums

Yeah the apple version cost $ to use full spectrum but the Android is free. Maybe cause the android version is still in beta mode. I liked it. Was more directional than I wanted though, but for free it helped me configure the distance for the lights and the hot/cold spots from using 4 lights in one tent.

agreed. Also make sure you have the white paper thing wrapped around your phone.

Yeah I just got the Photone for iPhone. And paid the $6 for the full spectrum. I’m at the park with my toddler but once I’m back I’m gonna get the G300 set up and try it out. Yeah it explained about the white paper diffuser. I think it’s a good starting point. Thank you everyone ✌🏼

That isn't true for all phones. I believe with a recent release it will now tell you in the install if your phone needs the diffuser. For my phone it didn't, and said something like my phone has been tested and calibrated to work without any modifications during the install. I have a Pixel phone, not sure if that means anything. Imo I believe they test the app with some of the flagship phones more extensively than others.

I just found this on there site
