Day 6 of seedling. Showing her second set of leaves now. Still at 12.66 dli. Daytime Around 77-81 degrees and 62-66% humidity. 72-75 degrees night temp fans running constantly I removed the intake fan and it seams to be staying cooler for some reason. So now it’s intake is just a 4”flex going from grow rm to my bedroom.

Day 8 of seedling I watered it this morning. Looks like the second set of leaves are gaining some fingers. First set of leaves looks like they are twisting a little. And I might have to prop it up a little bit.

Day 10 of seedling. Bumped it up to 14 dli. I see a root sticking out of a drainage hole so I’m going to transplant to a 3 ga. Fabric pot later today.

As of now I’m at 63-66% rh and 82-83 degrees. I can’t lower temp anymore than that without dropping the humidity. Any tricks of the trade to help me lower temp a little? I kind of feel like I need more airflow but I have a 5” fan hooked up to a flex blowing in constantly. It has been warm the past few days so im sure once it cools off I’ll be fine. I’m just putting the sprout in soil tomorrow and want to make sure I have a plan if temps rise. View attachment 1296641
I have a similar setup. I am exhausting outside and I have two 4" intake inclines going. When I closed tent my temps were rising too much as well. They needed more air in, so I opened a passive flap on the bottom against the wall. Air comes in but no unwanted light. This did the trick. I have the same temp controller you do.

Thank you for your reply. Yea that seams to be the only way I can keep it cool enough is to open the door a crack. I just realized that my intake was sitting next to the heating vent. So it was blowing hot air in. Once winter sets in I should be good it’s just been too warm outside the past week.

Day 13 of seedling. You can kind of see on the center leaf of the second set, the edge of the leaves curling up. I noticed it yesterday and raised the light to bring me to 13 dli. It doesn’t look any worse today. I also ran out of water in my humidifier yesterday which dropped rh to 38%. I don’t know how long it was like that since I was at work.Probably 4-5 hrs. Other than that it’s looking good. I’m looking for advise on lst. I’ve never done it before and don’t know when I should start. Any tips are appreciated thanks

They might have some guides here how to do it.

For lst I use clips but there are other ways of course. I like a scrog better though. It makes training easy.

As far as clips, if you do get some, get the ones that are adjustable instead of the ones that aren't.

Actually this is too much to type on phone

That was in the learning section. I think there is a link to all the their stuff on the home farmer page.

A lot of good stuff in there

Good to know. When do you think it will be strong enough to transplant? I was going to go straight to my 3ga pot a week or two into veg but now I’m thinking about doing a 1 ga pot first then transplant to a 3ga any thoughts?
Solo cup to 3 gallon pot in coco/perlite lessens the stress of transplanting twice to achieve the same goal, I allowed 1 more week from the pix shown & had roots all around the solo cup,Cheers SS Lookin good.

An easy start could be to use two wires or pieces of string.
Tie a string to the left side of pot, then tie or hook the other end around the base of the stem an inch or so above soil.
Then tie string to right side of pot, bend plant over to the right and tie it off making a 90⁰ bend or so in the stem.
Bam 😁

That was a little early for the transplant, try 2 week in the solo cups. If they look like that in 13 days let it go 3 weeks in solo. SS

You are doing fine. Hopefully your soil has some silica (sand) in it. Not too much. Maybe a cup mixed into 3 gallons of soil. That will make the stems stronger. Keep the fan aimed so that it makes the leaves shake just a bit and that will make it stronger also. Not too much or you will wind burn it. If you see the points on the leaf edges folding in, its too much wind.

Thanks for the wind advise as I use a tower fan and wondered if the fan was too powerful, so in the 1st. few weeks I keep it on 1 setting, then as they grow I can turn it up to 2 or 3. Cheers SS

Yea I wanted to wait a little longer but I screwed up and only used a small solo cup to start.(9 oz). I had roots coming out of the drainage holes so I couldn’t wait any longer. Now I know for next time to use a bigger starting cup. Thanks for the advice.

Day 3 of veg- 16.5 dli 58-63% rh 75-78 degrees. I started lst yesterday by bending main stem and staked it down with a u shaped wire. 3rd nd 4th set of leaves have 5 fingers. 5th set looks like it’s starting. Now for my dilemma. I watered yesterday till it just started dripping runoff. Now tomorrow I’m going away for a week and won’t be able to water till Friday. I’ve been watering every 3/4 days about 1/2-1/3 gallon. So Tuesday or Wednesday should be my next watering. Should I just let it be and water on Friday or give it a little more water tomorrow morning? I’m not going to give it a full watering but I was thinking of just giving it another cup to hold it over. I also wanted to give it a lil epsom salt. One stem has a lil purple and I don’t know if it’s genetics or if it wants a lil mag.

That is perfect. When the roots come out is when you transplant.

Let it dry out. The extra day will not hurt it.
Watch in real time how fast they recover from not being watered.

Day 9 of veg. I watered 32oz of water last night. I was away this past week so it didn’t get watered at all during the week. And my humidifier only last a day or two so the humidity was pretty low as we’ll probably around 35%.I also started training the stem around the edge of the pot last night. My wire stakes don’t seam to be holding to well. Some of the leaves look like the edges are blueing a little bit. And there is a ton of new growth along the main stem. I also read up on topping a little bit and what I read said to top when it gets around the pot (with this type of training.) back to the beginning. I feel like that will be too long. I think it’s getting close to the point where I should top it but I don’t know. And the plants didn’t even look dried out after a week of no water. Pics below are from this morning. I’m not a fan of how the leaves are from the training.but I think it’s looking pretty good.thanks for checking it out and any tips are appreciated.
