If you get an ultrasonic, keep in mind that you will want to use distilled or Reverse Osmosis water. Tap water leaves a white film on everything from the minerals in the water.

I think what you want then is just a cheap humidifier without all the controls. I've one that holds about 1 quart and its good for about 12hrs on a low setting 8hrs on high, it goes back on after a power outage but my programmable ones don't.

Should always run RO or distilled in a humidifier…. The minerals will shorten the life and coat everything with mineral deposits. Even 100-200ppm good water will do this
no no no always use RO or distilled water in them otherwise the minerals in the water attach to parts on the inside then algae forms on the minerals and the water turns green within 2 weeks and its impossible with any method I know of to clean them. Even with RO water I still need to clean with vinegar every couple of weeks. I've been through a lot of humidifiers but since I started buying zero ppm RO water I've not had to buy any more.
