If you're the kind of grower that's continually trying new strains the extra height may be a benefit to you. There are some strains that keep stretching almost until the end and they can reach 5 feet easy even if you've scrogged them at 16" from the bottom of the tent. I have owned Gorilla, AC Infinity and SpiderFamer tents. Of those, the Gorilla wins for height, materials and fabrics used as well as heavier gauge zippers. It's nice to have an 8 foot tall tent that can go even higher if needed. The next up from what I've owned I would say the Spider Farmer 4x4. Decently made tent, decent zipper and the best feature, each side has a zip out door to access plants on the back side of the tent if needed. WIth the Gorilla you have to unzip each door and unzip the top and bottom all the way to the back to pull the entire side away from the tent. This can be done on both sides so you have full access to the sides and back but you have to unzip around the tent poles to get that access and the space on the sides of the tent to unfold the wrap around side and store it while you're accessing that part of the tent.

I have to part ways with some of the other suggestions here on the AC Infinity tents. I also had a AC 4x4 tent, that's now being used as a dry tent. The main reason that tent left active service is because the zipper was poorly sewn on and going around the corner bends was extremely tight and caused light leaks at those stress points. Another issue I had with that tent was zero side access as there are no doors. Truth be told when I contacted ACI about the crappy zippers they said "no problem" an shipped me out another tent no questions asked or return required. The first tent went in the trash, the second one is sewn together better and is occasionally used as a dry tent.

If I had to rank personal choice:

Gorilla for material quality, height and features
Spider Farmer for all around decent tent with features you'd want
ACI, only because you get the plate to hang one of their controllers on

If I still used tents I'd leave the ACI and go with gorillas, SF if I was on a budget.

You must have an older version of 4x4 ac infinity. It has one main and 2 side doors/openings , one side no entry, do wish 4th side had access like the 2 other side doors/openings but there is plenty side access.

Your opinion is valid, but I do want to correct that as that is wrong with any 4x4 purchased recently. Unless they have some 1 door version I don't know about.

Anyone showed you these UltraYield 8 footers. It's the brand I have and has been good for a year and a half, so far...

AC Infinity is a great brand. $250 for their 4×8×6.5'

Ac Infinity makes one of the best tents out there ... although it's a bit more expensive than the cheaper tents. (With grow tents, you usually get what you pay for) Another to consider would be Agro-Max. It's a bit less expensive than the AC Infinity at most places, but their 8' x 4' is a bit over-sized measuring 52" x 98" ... just enough extra room to allow a large light like Grower's Choice ROI-E720 or a pair of 4 x 4 drain trays inside it without using a shoe horn or a crowbar.

Yeap, got a growmie to help. Now for the light, looking at the spider farmer se5000 with discounts I can get it for 498.00 shipped.
You'll like the light but it's not enough all by itself to light a 4 x 8. You're looking at a minimum of 1000 watts (2 lights would be better than 1) to light all 32 sq ft of the space. You can always start with one and add another later at a better time so you do have options to consider. Just know that wall to wall/corner to corner coverage will need about 1000w minimum to completely light the space.

Yes you are correct, I have 2 sf1000 and with the se5000 that will allow me to grow 4 legall plants. I am also going to grow some veggies, micro greens and herbs and I'll use some cheap lights for them.

I picked up the ACI tent about a year ago for doing pepper plants. I see on their website the 4x4 now has doors on the side, good move. Things that are different on the ACI we had was different outside material if what's in the pic is what the tent looks like, and the ACI Logo banner is on the right side above the metal plate. So it's a different tent today than we had. If we ever need another one I'll take a look again. Thanks for the heads up sir!

Gorilla or go home. There few draw backs for me are. They are a near useless Ca. Co. They are made in China. And the 5 door zipper arrangement does suck. But they have good martials of construction, plenty of ports and once you have went tall you will never go back. The Gorilla Lite/Cheapy tents are junk. Standard Gorilla tents are the only ones worth buying. They come standard with the 1' extension with a optimal 2' extension. I miss being able to use the 2' extension by 1". If not for that 1" short on ceiling height they would have 2' extensions on them. The tent on the right is a 3 x 3 and it's at least 8 years old now with the left 2 x 4 tent less than a year old. The older tent is a better tent. The zippers are tighter, stitching is much better. It has a look and feel of quality the new 2 x 4 does not have to the same extent. One thing that is kind of a pisser for the money is you have to buy what Gorilla calls a High CFM Kit. The High CFM Kit is four bars that mount horizontally to help keep the tent walls from sucking in if your one of those folks that has to run there exhaust fan wide open for no real reason. I use the High CFM Kits to mount my scrog net. Always run my ACI exhaust fans in auto and never above speed 5 so high cfm is never a issue with me. I looked closely at the ACI tents before I bought the 2 x 4 but with no extension kit options ACI was a no go. Enjoy!

I used a Viparspectra 4x4 for my first grow and am using an ACI 2x4 for my second grow. One difference between the two is the size of the poles. They are much larger in the ACI tent and too big to use a carabiner to attach the lights. I used zip ties instead.
