Autoflowers leaves slumped to the side

Hello everyone!

I'm growing 4 autoflowers in a small tent with a 250W LED light. All the plants get the same water, light, soild and container.
Despite this 2 of my plants' leaves slumped over to the side of the plants in a matter of a day. I don't know what could've caused this sudden and dramatic change.

I would be much aprecciated if someone could give me advice on how to fix or move on from this situation.
All the plants were planted at the same time, and the 2 sick ones are Californian Snow Auto and Gelato Auto.

Pictures will help immensely. Just a shot in the dark. Slumping leaves probably have to do with water moving through the plant. To much or too little water given, issues with VPD/transpiration/environment. We need more info though, specifics.

I have no patience to fix stuff so when it comes to this, i would pull 1 and 2 and start again. Especially if they are autos, because autos are just screwed if anything goes wrong in veg.

If i had to guess, id say the soil is to compact and the plants cant breathe.

What soil are you using?

Yeah that was what I was thinking too.
I'm using just store bought soil mix nothing especial, I think I might just start making my own soil mix.

You want something with good aeration and drainage. Whatever it is you are using doesnt looke like it has anything in it for that. The soil i use has perlite and pumice in it.

Would you also recommend I start using fabric pots? Does it also help with this issue?

Highly recommend fabric. Allows better drainage and airflow for sure. I absolutely hate plastic pots for growing with a burning passion, even tho im using plastic nursery pots right now in veg, as soon as the roots touch the sides, the plants droop in my experience. Plus plastic takes like 2 or 3 days longer to dry out.

You really need a good draining soil. If you scooped the plants out and mixed some perlite into the soil, they might bounce back with proper watering. But with autos, the clock is ticking. A good basic recipe for soil is 1/3 peat, 1/3 perlite, 1/3 compost or castings. Then you can add amendments if you want,
feed teas/topdress.

Thank you both for the help and advice! Changing up my soil, getting some new pots and scrapping these 2 is for the best.
One more question on the way out, what is the ideal pot size?

I prefer plastic pots. They are easier to water in my opinion, and for organic soil you don't really want it to get dusty dry. The fabric pots dry out fast and it's hard to control runoff. The plastic ones are easier to move around, I can pick a full one up with one hand. And they are easier to clean and reuse. Just my opinions, I've used both and both work.

I like to pot up to 5 gallon pots. 3 gallons minimum for organic soil in my opinion.

I wouldnt go less than 5 gallon but it depends on your space, also deoends how much you wanna spend cause bigger pots means more soil.
