Good luck!!
Soaked for 12hrs in coconut water then planted in soil
Yeah, a little anxiety, a little bit control issues, lol. I have some Orange kush seeds that will be arriving tomorrow as back up, or next run if all goes wellOh boy, anxious already lol. Did you germinate or plant straight in soil?
Usually i see sprouts within 2-7 days, but i germinate in a paper towel. Id say probably 5-7 if there wasnt a tail popping from the seed yet.Soaked for 12hrs in coconut water then planted in soil
Thanks! Been researching and planning a long time now. Quickly going to have to learn patience, lolGood luck!!
Yeah, figured I had atleast a week. Just first grow jitters. Probably why I smoke so much medically, lol. My anxiety is legitUsually i see sprouts within 2-7 days, but i germinate in a paper towel. Id say probably 5-7 if there wasnt a tail popping from the seed yet.
Indeed. Patience is the biggest factor of growing, in my opinion anyways lol.Quickly going to have to learn patience, lol
Definitely a virtue I'm lacking in! Guess growing will be more therapeutic than I thoughtIndeed. Patience is the biggest factor of growing, in my opinion anyways lol.
Do I need the dome with humidifier? I was under the assumption I was good to go?Are you germinating directly in the 5 gallon bag? Try putting a clear cup on the seed to keep that soil extra moist.. I would have soaked the seeds overnight and used something smaller.View attachment 1309183View attachment 1309184
In my opinion, seedlings dont need domes. If your humidity is good i wouldn't worry. I keep my humidity at 60% in veg and i dont have issues, even my clones like the environment, ive never had to dome anything but a cloner.Do I need the dome with humidifier? I have 2 boys 7 and 3, so im not sure you're that into kids movies for me to recommend muchSo, since I need to try any occupy myself, and good movie, book or music suggestions? I have a really eclectic taste.
Yes, if your seed is half inch below the surface the soil will be too dry to germ, especially if the seed wasn’t presoaked. The cup will help keep the soil damp til the seed sprouts.Do I need the dome with humidifier? I was under the assumption I was good to go?
I remember those days. I have 3 myself, 22, 17, 12. This was the first year we didnt have to take kids trick or treating since my daughter is too "grown" for that now, lol! (Shes 12). That was part of my decision to try to attempt to grow, give me a hobby. After 15 years of club sports, band, and choir, I definitely enjoy not being so "needed!"I have 2 boys 7 and 3, so im not sure you're that into kids movies for me to recommend much
Ok, thanks. So does 12 hour soak, does that count? I had been dialing in my watering on my pots for about a week prior maintaining a damp but not wet soil. Would you suggest no humidifier and just doming?Yes, if your seed is half inch below the surface the soil will be too dry to germ, especially if the seed wasn’t presoaked. Thanks. I was trying to avoid any transplant shock since I wanted to try mainlining and the aggressive pruning plus transplanting would make for an awfully long veg, right? Hard part is, there seems to be 2 camps on everything when it comes to growing. To dome or not to dome, transplant or not, organic vs salts, etc. Hard to keep up when both sides say there way is "better." I'm just here to learn and hopefully grow something smokable.I like the idea of double cupping. The outer cup is the traditional red solo while the inner is clear to see root development.
Good Luck!!!
Is my current 75-80%rh good for germination or seedling, or what would you suggest? In my opinion, seedlings dont need domes. If your humidity is good i wouldn't worry. Seeds all dropped by 12 hours and I saw some "discharge" cant think of the proper term for it atm. From what I read that was a good sign I think? I'm thinking I'll have to do the solo cups next time. Just got to wait and hope for the best now, right?Your humidity is fine for veg, you will lower it to 50% in flower. I start seeds directly in solo cups coverered with baggies, if i presoak its until the seeds sink, 12-24 hours. They need that bit of water to germ, especially if the seeds are older than a few months.
