3 of my last 5 grows were thrown off by herms. Last grow I think I checked the plants in week 3 to find a small pollen sack had already exploded. I killed it and got another questionable plant out of the tent. Luckily the damage was minimal, but I'm looking to find the best time to start looking. I know nanners can pop up at any time. The herms that screw me are the ones that make little small yellow flowers on lower shoots or nodes that are hard to spot initially. I am still not sure if its caused by me or genetics. I tried to line my lights up with sunrise/sunset to eliminate the possibility of light leaks this go. Anyone have a routine they use to spot them?

Single male flowers, low down on the plant, seem to come early and isolated nanners in buds seem to come late, but what @ezenzyme said.

Ok cool thanks for the comments. I'm about 7 days into flower. I should start looking now and continue all the way through flower?
