Hello everybody I'm new the the world of growing cannabis, I have already done some research online and most of them are here on this site.
For starters I have about 4 seedlings in coco about 3 to 4 weeks old under 4 T5 lights 39 watts (2 6500K and 2 pink grow lights) this is temporary.
I have the General Hydroponics Micro, Grow, and Bloom and also Epsom salt, Calcium Nitrate, Fulvic Acid, and Silica got it from this thread https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/ballin-on-a-budget-the-recipe.128055
I'm using aquarium water combined with the 3 General Hydroponics nutrients as of now. (Please tell me if this is good or bad)
I have a grow tent ordered (80cm*80cm*160cm) I'm not sure what light to put in here once they arrive.
I was looking at these lights below, the first one says Wen-1 wavelength light pink 120 watts, I'm not sure what Wen-1 means.
And the second one says red blue wavelength 180 watts.
I was mostly looking at second one with 180 watts because it has higher wattage, will this light be sufficient for the grow tent I have ordered? Perhaps two?

Thanks guys in advance

I usually just buy pot but due to where I am right now it is hard for me to get my hands on good quality weed and the price is ridiculous.
I would just go off the back and order some of the lights listed here, but then again shipping would probably take forever to get here.

PS. I have also ordered some seeds from Herbies Headshop and my favorite strain is actually Pineapple Express which I have also ordered

hey man and welcome, dont you think the pink/purple lights will make it harder to analyze issues in your tent. what site are you going to order from

This is Alibaba from China, because I live in Taiwan so I can get a lot of the stuff that's different from what you guys are using. The 180 watts round light also comes in a full spectrum version. Maybe that is a better choice?

These plants are about a week to 2 weeks apart in age. I'm almost certain the second one is a female but not 100% sure accurate about the first one. Is it still too early to tell right now? Some experienced growers please chime in.

pineapple express is my fav too! did you also try their freebies?

Welcome to the Farm, The 3x3x6' tent will hold 3 plants, the lights need to be 3500, 5000 K or Kelvin powered lights about 200w-600w lights. Viparspectra KS 3000 is the best I've found for a3x3 price wise. More people will chime in as you mature here. Cheers SS

Yes, got like 6 seeds total with my purchase. I believe they are zkittlez, amnesia lemon, gelato, candy dawg and gorilla glue.

Thanks a lot, I will search and see if I can find these lights to get them shipped to where I am

Welcome to the farm.

First off, those red/blue burples aren't bad. They simply give you an incomplete spectrum and even though they are advertised as full spectrum, they really aren't. The reds and blues do provide useable light. However, I would certainly be adding full spectrum white light to your grow. Since you're already in the area, look at Kingbrite on Alibaba. They have many white light full spectrum grow lights to choose from.

Second, your tent size is quite small. Depending on final plant size, you'll be limited to just 2, maybe 3 plants through the flowering stage.

Third, GH makes great products. However, instead of using all 3 at the same time ... follow the feed schedule from GH's website. Reduce the feed levels by 1/2 the recommended dose but otherwise follow what they are suggesting. One of our long time members here @PipeCarver uses GH flora series with excellent results. He would be a source of more information regarding your nutrient choice. You'll find the feed chart here: https://generalhydroponics.com/resources/flora-series-feedcharts/#attachment-10471

And last - Your plants are too young to definitively determine their sex at this time. They should tell you within the next week or so. Don't cull anything before you post pictures for confirmation.

Once again, welcome ... there's a lot of knowledge to be shared on this message board.

Thanks, this is really helpful

Personally, having purchased 6 lights already from Kingbrite, the light itself is fine. The shipping quote from Alli Express is outrageous. Look on Alibaba instead of Ali Express. Compare shipping prices and go from there.

Edit: @GreenGalaxyFarm I don't know the space you're trying to fill but here's something to consider. I picked one up recently for my 5' x 5' tent. I have it hung but its not in use yet. Shipping was free.

歡迎光臨 (hoan-gêng kong-lîm)!!! 🙂

In american measurements 80cm x 80cm x 160cm would come out to be 31" x 31" x 63". I would suggest you buy 2 smaller lights rather than one large one. If the large one fails your crop dies. If one of the 2 fails your crop survives.

For your size tent I would go with 2 of these in the 200w:

Doesn't have to be this one in particular but it has good diodes, Samsung LM301B's. I look for lights using LM301B's and that use Meanwell Drivers for their light ballasts. This light doesn't list the driver so I assume they use a lower quality driver.

You could go a little bigger, say 300w, and just keep the dimmer turned down so that you have the extra light intensity if you need it.

Your nutrient recipe is good but learn how to use each one and when to use them. It doesn't matter how good your nutrients are if you don't know how and when to apply them.

@InsaneM

If you plan on staying in the 80cm x 80cm x 160cm tent then yes those 200w quantum boards would be more than sufficient. Also multiple boards is solid advice for another reason as well ... they are easier to locate exactly where you need them. Larger boards tend to have a "fry your plants" high intensity hot spot right in the center of the board. It's not temperature ... it's too much light. You can work around it if you know in advance. Personally, I prefer even lighting across the whole canopy and bar lights do that better than quantum boards. They also usually cost a bit more money. Both work. What works best for you depends on how you intend to grow.

Your tent size is my biggest concern. If your space allows it and if your tent order can be cancelled without penalty, choose a larger tent. If space is a concern, you'll get more plants through with something along the lines of 150cm x 80cm x 200cm or 120cm x 120cm x 200cm size. Even 2 plants can become tight in what you have ordered and it doesn't have much headroom so you could run into problems with heights.
