How many autos in a 2x4 tent?

As I’m nearing the end of this grow, and building a second grow room, I’m trying to decide what to grow next.

In my current 2x4’ tent, I have 2 photos in 5 gallon buckets, and that filled the tent pretty good. Would 2 autos fill it up about the same, or could I go 3 without much issue?

I want to plant 4 photos in my new tent/room, so I’m trying to decide if I want to go 2 more photos in the 2x4, or 3 autos if it wouldn’t affect yield. At worst, I’ll wait til spring and grow the autos in my greenhouse.

I'm using a smallish 2x2 with 9 auto plants from Herbies - for a scrog. I'll let 18/6 for 2 weeks and then 12/12. For small plants, a nice canopy and a quick harvest.

Right on. I was thinking 3 autos in 3 gallon pots doing a scrog. I just don’t want to make the tent over crowded. Right now it’s a full scrog canopy using 2 photos in 5 gallons, so my thinking 3 autos in 3 gallons should have enough room for a decent yield.

Am I thinking about this wrong?

Me? I’ll be using happy frog soil this round instead of my mystery dirt lol

Okay that's good you're gonna use 3 gallon pots make sure they're fabric.

Fox farm nutrients like I did for my current grow (big bloom, grow big, tiger bloom), and orca.

Of course :) after using these 5 gallon fabrics, I don’t think I’d use any other. At least for indoor.
