Morning farm...Why does one of my autos have 7 fingers on the leaf and the other has 9?

There's only one course of action, as I see it: chop these plants and start over until the plants can agree on the number of leaflets they should have.

When the plants are seedlings, have them vote and re-vote, until they're all on the same page. It's kind of like choosing a Speaker of the House.

Mystic is a smart ass but this is very normal to have both auto and photo. You might see 13 if you look around the forum.

On my last grow, I had a relatively large "Forbidden Fruit" plant that had only 5 finger leaves.
Sometimes it happens.
It was also the most potent and wonderful smelling weed I've had in a long time.
Number of fingers means nothing as far as how good the plant will be.

Well that's just not true. I've never flowered a plant with less than 11 leaflets. Oh except those years I ran nutrient deficient trials for the world's future top breeding operation.

Most varieties I’ve grown will show at least 7 leaflets if grown out properly, it’s largely genetic, but indoors most my large leaves get plucked.
