Timer won't work for exhaust fan?

Ok. Last question. Does the fan use the same amount of electricity with a controller, high vs low speed?

No not at all. Infact thats how it controls the speed, by increasing or decreasing the amount of current. its just a potentiometer to regulate the flow of electricity. So on low speed it may only run at 10w

I used to do what you’re trying with two $50 inline fans. If your home most of the day and weather doesn’t get extreme up or down it’s doable.

However with the main T6 & controller with probe I can tell it to come on if temp hits 26*+ or RH hits 60%+

For $175 CND I get to watch and control from my phone. No more running to the tent every morning or few hours.

Is there a special timer that will allow me to use on my exhaust fan so I can have it run say, 5 min on and 30 min off? Both my digital and regular timers won't allow me to do it . Thanks
