It’s saddens me to have to kill it. It’s my first kill.is it still alive?
can you post a full plant pic before killing..
You can make a fermented plant juice from it and feed it to the other plants.they love it.It’s saddens me to have to kill it. It’s my first kill.![]()
mmm a good looking boy, oh well we all hate doing it but it has to go and you move on to the next step..It’s saddens me to have to kill it. It’s my first kill.![]()
That's a big boy, Guy Manerson. It has a mustache, and a truck..... ;). I don't know how it compares to your other plants but if it's big and tall and branchy and you care to breed....This is my first time ever growing and I need a definite. Is this really a male plant? I think so but I need a definite from the experienced.

Pollinating is really easy.......controlled pollinating takes a little more effort. I don't know about buying pollen, I mean, maybe if it was a really must-have strain and there was no other way. But all you really need to do is find your best breeder male(s), isolate them and get a bag over them.......you can trim quite a bit to make them more manageable, you don't need much more than a good branch, or the top.......get a proper bag over it (you can read up on what kind, how..), and once the pollen falls out, paint brush. Sure, you'll need to make sure you keep things tight, and you may have to put up with a little accidental seeding, but it's very doable. The upside is your own seeds, the exact crosses you want from the exact parents you want. No one will have the same genetics that you make, and you can get (or stumble upon) unique varieties that could really surprise you.I bought some pollen on here, and I’ve come to 3 possible conclusions:
1.) pollinating is a lot harder to do than people say;
2.) I suck at hand pollinating;
3.) the pollen I got was pure shit.
I’ve tried 4 different plants, even to the point of tossing a few pinches of it in front of my upper fan to spread it around my auto tent, and I haven’t gotten a single seed on any of them.
Of course, breeding non-fem seeds creates uncertainty for the gender of the seeds, but that’s a different issue.

I want to grow more regular seeds but this is why i dont. Start 10 and end up with 8 females i wouldnt have room for, or 8 males id just have to kill off. So i stick to fems for now. Maybe when i have more room ill venture into regs more.don’t want to waste the time and effort on potentially growing tons of males (or have a huge amount of cannabis plants going all at once either).

Thank you. I got this from something called “Slutty 2.0”. It was a random seed as are my other 2 plants. I’m in my 2nd week of flower. Those don’t have any balls on them. I only have one grow tent so I can’t do the whole seed harvest thing.By the way, for your first time growing they look nice and healthy, good job. What strain you got there?
And in the future, you'll recognize the males earlier than this. It probably showed 5+ days ago.
Yeah everyone has their particular set-up.......sometimes growing males and breeding just isn't feasible, and you'd want enough of a selection to be able to find some males worthy of trying to make good seeds. It too bad the pollen was a dud...I was alluding to that I got crap pollen :p I could go sprinkle the remainder on all of my plants and I would be shocked if I got a seed.
I used the qtip method, brush method, dumped some directly on it method, and then put it in front of a fan method and still no seeds lol.
I may toss a few seeds in the ground of the photos I got that aren’t feminized to see what I can get, but I also don’t want to waste the time and effort on potentially growing tons of males (or have a huge amount of cannabis plants going all at once either).
I have been doing reversals just to get females. This last run I started out with 20 and took the 3 best growers and 1 odd ball.I want to grow more regular seeds but this is why i dont. Did Slutty 1.0 retire? ;)Thank you. I got this from something called “Slutty 2.0”. It was a random seed as are my other 2 plants. I’m in my 2nd week of flower. Those don’t have any balls on them. I only have one grow tent so I can’t do the whole seed harvest thing.
