nitrogen, genetics, heat and light intensity to a point.

its not uncommon to see imo. Go buy trichomes on the calyx’s nit the leaves and look at different areas of the plant not just the tops

I've been doing that, but the pistils were still so white I thought maybe it was premature. Only a couple of amber trichomes on the leaves.

I concur without a loupe no way to know for sure but that would probably get chopped in my tent . Could also go another week easy .
I have Jeff Bezos bringing me a 60x loupe tomorrow. I have a 10x but had no idea a 60x was available. Good call and thanks.

BTW - I know how to look for amber trikes w/ my 10x. I was specifically perplexed about these white pistils. I've been waiting for them to turn brown and curl up for weeks.

Read what Aqua said bud. that may b the reason for the new growth when your plant should b finishing up not growing new pistils..hence why I tagged Aqua to explain why the plant is doing it.

In your opinion, how many PPFDs should the lights give off for flowering plants near the end? Maybe I've got too much light/heat?

Few more pics would do the team justice in offering more effective advice, looks like a week or three left if the autumn coloring isn't obvious, new growth usually means incomplete fresh pistol means most likely the finishing process in the last stages of flowering is occurring. One 2 three weeks befor end of cycle, thc production ends as cbd starts to take effect and usually when the fruit doubles in size. So really information is
Key to accurate Infornation being returned my guy! Nice buds!

sorry brother I don’t use ppfd .I hammer my girls right to the end 😃. I get that new growth when my lights between 16-20 .but not always.I try to keep distance between 20-24inches away.I don’t wait for those pistils to brown as you go by the trics.I think I went 10-11weeks when I ran the purple punch while back.

Fair points.

As of today, it's been 11 wks and 1 day. I attached more pics.

True - the autumn colors have not come in. The leaves are looking tired though. I've been experimenting with my own soil mix and these buds look way better than 6 months ago but I still need to dial in the nutes during bloom.

The reason I jumped to questioning the pistil development is because I burned the sh** out of a plant due to too much light a few months back. The flowers bleached badly and the pistils started turning white like this new plant. I got worried that I might be doing it again. I didn't take any pics before I tossed it and cursed.

This one is decent. Note that the one behind it (Blue Dream) is not looking as good. Still a nute issue. Sigh...

I dug out a macro camera and took this today. This was the cleanest pic I could get of the trichomes.
