Tall og Kush auto - too late to scrog?

New grower and I have a lanky og kush auto that’s a lot taller than my other plants in the tent. About 18” taller that the others. Wasn’t planning on scrog the 1st time out.


Keep raising the LED light to keep up with the darn thing and now it looks like it’s in the 1st week of flower. Not sure how much taller it’s going to get, but wondering if I can do the pinch and bend and put the net screen up to spread the top buds out at a lower level.

Or is it too late?
When do these stop growing taller? I take it the buds at about an 1” now are going to get 4-5” taller by themselves.

You can do LST without hurting it. pinching would hurt the yield most likely but honestly if its for the sake of the other plants if its just one or 2 branches i'd probably pinch and bend. they will stretch for another 1-2 weeks.

Looks like it’s 12” taller than the others. Raised the lamps again. How far down should I go for a pinch and bend? There’s probably half dozen buds on the top. What’s your guess on how much further it will stretch?

It’s in the front, I’ll probably move it to the back corner, screen it there and move the oscillating fan.

I’ll read up on LST. Hopefully I don’t f&$$ it up.

Question on LST on an auto. I just bend the top about 12” down and tie it with a plant wire tie to a hole in the bag?

Do not pinch where the main trunk is bending? I see no mention of pinching on the LST for autos tutorial I read over.

The buds on the top will reach back up in a day I assume.

OK so tried to follow the online LST tutorial steps and it did not go exactly as planned.

Tied near the bottom half to try to keep the main stem from moving. Then probably try to bend the top to far down and the stem snapped and kinked in a bit near the lower tie.

Built a cast around the wound wth a small piece of cardboard, bubble wrap, and blue mask tape.

Then pulled the very top down slightly with the plan to try to bend it down more over the next few days, but given the kinked stem, how long before that hopefully heals?

Pics show the kink damage, comparison of the tail kush to the other plants, and the current LST bend I ended up with.
