Can you get a person banned from dispensaries?

Legalization ain't for everyone. I speak from personal experience as my wife has been blowing 50% of our income on weed. She just goes to these stores and throws down money not caring if we are behind on bills or not.

It's either gonna end in divorce or me burning down a few dispensaries and going to jail.

I know people with gambling problems can be barred from casinos...is there anything in place for dispensaries like this?

It's just out of control, I'm trying to grow enough to supply her but that's pretty much impossible just getting started lol...I'd pretty much have to hand over my whole grow

She is trying to smoke like 15 joints a day or better which may not be shit to most people here but when you are buying it that sucks ass! Idk what else to do even if I sought divorce my kids would just be dealing with it when they are in her custody with nobody (me) to make sure they are cared for ya know

I love weed, love my kids more though and I'm noticing her love isn't the same. Hard to wrap my head around.

Talking didn't seem to work, explaining my view, nothing seems to curb it.

She had a bad drinking problem, actually quit that on her own...then got bad on pain meds (nodding out like you see people in videos on social media) and she only got over that once the doctor killed the script. Now it's weed, before the dab rig broke she was spending like crazy on those.

Her mom passed away a year and a half ago, left her a small sum of money, around 20k, she literally blew all that on dabs and monster energy.

I just don't know if I'm even attracted to this anymore, I guess I just need to ask myself if I want to live like this the rest of my life because it's hard for people to change.

Sounds like major depression. Until she starts getting help it’s only going to continue. You can help, be supportive, and just be there. You can’t take therapy for her though. She has to be involved and want to change.

Just don’t let anyone in the family enable her. Look into depression but talk to your family doctor. They will usually help and steer things in the right direction.

Hard topic with scary options. But asking for help is a great start. Sorry I can’t help more.

It's all good and the kindness is much appreciated!

I woke up with a new outlook. I'm always progressing, always building so it's hard for me to watch someone sink when they could do so much better. I'm gonna focus on turning my portion of my life into the best portion of my life. It already is, so that's a plus...like my time with my kids and such. I'm just going to focus on elevating that to the tenth degree. Our finances are separate she just isn't keeping up on some of her end so that's on her. I'll pay whatever going forward that may happen to have my name on it as well, but past that, it's all for the kids and the home team.

I don't buy clothes much, only thing I buy for myself is maybe an oz a month but that has been cut down now that my first indoor run finished. Only thing I buy for myself is about 40 in cheap cigarettes every week, I smoke alot of those. Past that all my money goes to my kids, if I ain't cooking it for everyone I don't even eat...no fast food, nothing for me past the cigarettes and maybe a fountain soda here or there. No lunch usually, sometimes breakfast, dinner I usually eat then eat again after a smoke down. Double dinner is usually my 2 meals a day

I'm just being frugal (trying times) so why someone would be so abundantly wasteful when funds are low is just stupid. I can't chalk it up to anything more than buffoonery.

My idea though is I'm just going to find a night shift and when I get hired tell them I need 2 weeks to start, then come home and basically tell her she needs to put in her 2 week notice because I gotta step up.

So I'll be constantly working or with my kids or crop, she can sit on tiktok and smoke

Don’t give up on her, read up on depression, but don’t enable.

The rest of your plan sounds good. No fights, no enabling, but you’ll need help getting her back.

I knew someone like this and it really, really sucks. Just like you, it goes hand in hand with other addictions like cigs and gambling.

It really, really sucks because if you like me and you live somewhere where it's legal and you love weed and you can smoking it for decades, it can be really hard to single out someone with a problem because everyone used to weed being so relatively harmless.

What I can tell you is there is no sense here, 15 Js a day of proper, quality dispo weed is beyond reason. It was the same for me with her, she'd finish one and just light the next up like they were Marlboros, I have no idea if she was even enjoying getting high because it didn't seem it.

You have to put your foot down and set a hard line. You have kids here and you have to step in and do the right thing. Unless you're bonkers loaded, you're not going to be able to spend 1,600 a month on weed for her. And your option to grow it yourself might seem good in theory but she's just going to use her elephant tolerance to blow through it, you as a novice grower are not gonna feed her appetite.

I can't tell you about how anyone person is going to act or react. But what I can tell you is when you're dealing with this sort of person they're going to get what they want regardless. Be prepared when you cut it off, if she has access to your money she may do drastic things, if she doesn't she may very well find herself spending time with anyone who has it.

When I can tell you is it isn't very hard for a woman to find free weed. Sorry. Silver lining here, no one's going to put up with her habit for more than a few days or weeks either.
