well was just playing with a new video, Frostette (GCC x Okie) from @Trustfall almost filled first net single topping just alot of tucking, cant wait till she looks like yours @SchwiftyGrower

😆

Am I mistaken or for it to be a real scrog it has to be interlaced between netting ?? I was told I wasn't a scrog when I trained them just up with the net for support lol. Jw. My currents look same Just without net in place

You are mistaken. That would be a nightmare to harvest. You just tuck under the net. Push them down and over, let them find their own way back up or direct a few to spots if needed.

No, that would be a trellis. And after SCROG you might need a second net above to hold the buds. If you’re lucky.

Look up CannaGranny. She’s a local SCROG expert. Here is her SCROG teaching thread.

Technically, yes, a Scrog would be branches splayed out under the net but Weed porn is always welcome and those are some sexy pics of your plants!!! 😉 😄

When I Scrog, I've found the most productive way is to Scrog, meaning tuck everything under the net, up to the second week of stretch then let stretch finish vertically so that you have around 9" of vertical growth so mine is technically not a Scrog per se but a version I guess. The 9" is because LED doesn't really penetrate much more than that into the canopy so anything under that will not receive enough light to be viable.

Everything under the canopy has been removed since it doesn't receive a sufficient amount of light to be productive. Flowers are starting to get top heavy. I may need a second net to support them from flopping over.

4 Plants in a 5x5
1 plant in a 2.5x2.5
Hey man what light do you have in the 2.5x2.5 and where did you get a 2.5x2.5 tent? I have a 3x3 and a 2x2.5 with extended height which is nice but wanted a 2.5x2.5 . Thanks

Just put these into flower and using net to tie down 2 plants who are on a race for top of the tent. Harder to really use it like some people do as I have a few smaller sized tents so move from smallest for clones and first month of veg, then to bigger taller tent for last of veg then into the flower tent in the pictures. Once I clean these up this weekend I can get them all into the netting and looking good for stretch and flower. Growing 1 each of:
TGC#8
Pure Michigan
Fatso
Hippie Slayer
Strawberry Cough
I figured I would just update day 34 or 35 of flower I lost track on next run in flower tent going to really try to get netting correctly utilized

Wow that is great how soon to you start with creating your branching? It looks like from when they are very young

Mine are 20 days into flower. Pretty level canopy. I really wanna do real scrog. Learned some good stuff rn. Next grow I'll try that. So. Do you top with scrog ? Do you raise light little in veg sothey stretch little more ? Mine don't get super tall but get super fat and super right bud spacing.

Think of using a net trellis as a sort of different way to LST. Instead of using wire or thread to pull back the branches you use the net to do that.

I usually LST early because I like to establish a low canopy along with young branches being more pliable for bending without breaking. The net in the pic is 18" off the floor. Once the main branches have been LSTed I can set the net and let them grow into it, tucking any branches that pop up above the net line back underneath. Once I have around 60% - 70% of the net filled I'll flip to flower and continue tucking branches into the second week of flower. Stretch should have already begun to fill out the rest of the net. After week 2 of flip, I stop tucking and let them grow vertically. My goal is to have them finish stretch around 9" tall from the net. This way I utilize as much of the light as I can and don't waste much plant energy creating flowers.

First SCROG attempt, not through choice, had some issues and lost a few ladies, so veg’d these for 7 weeks, 4 in each corner of a 5x5 2x melon gum, 1x forbidden fruit cake 1x smoothie, first week of flower!

Since we already have a thread for frosty flowers I thought we could start one for SCROG pics exclusively.

PLEASE....if you're going to comment make it brief. If you want to discuss a particular pic or subject please SEARCH for the information you are looking for first. If you can't find it or it doesn't answer your question start a thread or DM if it's a particular person you seek this information from.

I'll start out with the SCROG I just harvested.

Hell of a stretch lol but they filled much farther than expected width wise as well, about a Foot More depth than the last run had plant dimensions about 3.5’x4’ net demensions 2x4’

About 6” more stretch than the mother of these girls had on average per branch but I’m ok with it, if needed I have net extenders up to 5” longer than the current ones that I can pop in to support heavy leaners late in flower.

But the mother was… wow 🤩 so she had to go for run 2x and clone generation 3x is in the veg tent 😁

Edit: Bud from the mother about 3 weeks into cure and wow is the grape showing out!
