This will be my 3rd outdoor season. I put in 5 this year, a mystery Amsterdam, Blue Cheese, Grape Stomper, OG Kush and Sour Diesel. Put them in Wednesday and we’ve gotten a few days of rain and they really responded to the sun and rain. The Blue Cheese seed was popped a month after all the others and is already surpassing the other ones in just 4 days.

Height has been an issue in the past so we’re going to try something different this year and try to keep them from getting too visible. We shall see how that works out.

Nice. Year 2 for us, last year just a couple of late testers. Been working the soil and getting ready. Looking at the forecast (Northern NY), we could get another couple of nights whereit could hit freezing.

Good luck. What techniques are you planning? I assume topping/tying/training.......

Already topped em, for sure gonna teainnem. Last year they got to talk and I had to pull them down with some string. Thinking some type of makeshift trellis. I’ve been measuring them daily and they sure are taking off. One has already grown 3”!
I’m about a week and a half out from my first indoor harvest of OG Kush and Sour Diesel, 2 plants of each. Pretty excited for that.

Can say that garden plants are surviving the nights in the 50’s

Little bit of wilting but all 350 are alive still lol

pretty close together and close to the fence, they will/should get big you know..
3rd season growing them there. Here’s a couple pics from last year.

Nice setup Make sure and give them each 1/2 cup of bone meal. As they are already in the ground just rake it in as best you can as soon as you can.

Even with the Sohum living soil? I will be using a tea mix from other garden veggies from last season that have been soaking and using water from my bait tank.

We’re still having some 59 degree nights here in Illinois and things are banging in my veggie garden. The weekend rain got my beans really going.
I just put them in last Wednesday. These are 3rd gen in my garden, not sure if that’s why.

Wait......I've heard of talking to plants but once they start talking back.... ;). I like using string to tie each plant down. I just can't work with a trellis, my pots are on wheels so I can roll them in and out to water them or whatever needs to be done, rotate them so they all get even light. With different varieties there isn't the uniformity needed for a trellis. But most of the ppl I've seen here that use a trellis....SOG....do a very good job.

Are you 100% outdoor?? The pics of those buds up in the thread look indoor, but maybe that's your fence.....

Ya dang hippies! ;). Very nice. I hope to get a few that tall this year.

Read somewhere that if you continuously harvest and replant the seeds and the plants will grow better due to acclimating to the soil. Sounded plausible and it seems to be true. As I said it’s the fastest they’ve come up and damn near all of them.

Yes, I should have been a little more clear in that. That’s a couple pics of my first indoor garden in 25 years. It wasn’t without its challenges that’s for sure. It’s a homemade aero system similar to my old setup but with lots of technological upgrades lol. Things sure have advanced!
