Beautiful buds! My first grow was a train wreck since I didn't invest in the right equipment, but learned a lot. Can you share some information about your light source? What strain are you growing?

This is garlic cookies bag seed the light I started with a spider farmer 100 watt then I got this 420 watt from this company called enjoyield this light was very inexpensive and just fits in my tent. Installed a few weeks ago.

Regular ol soil. Was using some real basic nutrients from RAW switched too element nutrients with the light a few weeks ago

Looks good. Man you did way better than me. Awesome job.

Very nice. And they're still blooming. I don't know when you're looking to harvest, you could probably let them go another couple of weeks......if you want. I've never had any "garlic" variety. That might be up there with peanut butter as varieties I don't quite get, but some of these varieties may not smell so good if they get too ripe. Or maybe that's what some people like. I always refer to the standard, Skunk#1, which was totally different depending on when it was harvested. On the early side it was more perfumey, but on the late side it was very skunky.

What's the thing in the 2nd picture of your "few more photos"?

I believe the thing you are referring to is the stem I had bent/broke to keep it from getting too tall

I do have a loupe but as far as I can tell the trichs are still all clear. And maybe near half of the pistils have changed colors.

An event of note last week my timer failed and I didn't notice for 3 days but everything is back on track

Also the reason it looks like that is I had 3xperienced some light leaking after switching to 12 on off. This plant in particular revenged quite a bit

Looks good to me! I’m a first timer too and really looking forward to the end product! Use the loupe as a gauge on when to harvest, I hear if you harvest too early it can be devastating to the quality

Yeah the other two plants that I harvested were doing bad. End product was not nearly close to what this one is looking like

Wait it out another week if they get better then possibly wait out one more if no change then go for it

I don't know the exact science behind it, or when the safe time kicks in but the "no light during the dark" thing becomes less of a problem after a number of weeks.

Ah man I really needed to read this lol

Well, don't test it......but I think I read about it in one of the High Times' "Ask Ed" columns. I can tell you that I've ruined a batch with light early on in the flower cycle, and I've had the dark cycle interrupted late into flowering with zero effect. I'm not talking multiple days either, I just mean like a mistake. It wasn't enough to cause any trouble.

you should start trying to not be touchy feely with the buds once you see trichomes appearing.. they are easily damaged..
in all your pictures your hands are all over those buds like a horny teenager, hahahaha..
