Have some girls who were mothers and now about to be flowered. In rockwool with a small amount of coco and perlite in and around. Lights are 1000w Led’s on 60%; height has varied but hasn’t seemed to impact the discolouration in leaves; did a lux test and came in 33,000. Ac had some issues and there were at 30C for a while but now back at 25C the last week. Feed has been 5-700 ppm with supplement calmag every other feed (very soft water), chitosan and occasional hits of worm tea, seaweed and b1. Think there are some root thrips; they can jump and move very quickly- got a picture of them in water. They haven’t made their way up stems they just stay in the medium and beneath the pots also

Plants aside from leaf discolouration seem alrigt, growing at a decent pace. Any ideas welcome as want to get them as good as possible before 12/12

I think there springtails there not a actual danger however it’s good to get rid of them.

I would like someone else to clarify that said I’m sure they are just nervous because I haven’t dealt with them only seen them in threads I read

Btw it looks like you have a mg deficiency.

What’s ur ph there? Looks like magnesium issues on the one plant. If you have soft water I’m going to suggest bumping up your cal mag a 1/4 dose. It’s incredibly difficult to od a plant on the stuff, the other plant is showing it too.

I knew I liked you! On point in my opinion.

Thank you guys sorry for late reply I didn't realise it had been replied to

I think they are springtails as you say and they seem to have no correlation to plant health so I'll worry about fully getting rid of them after harvest rather than before

I think main issues were the heat and calmag as I didn't change much else and they came back happier and greener. Calmag was upped a bit though actually to almost every feed at 3 to 5ml per gallon. Also they were lollipopped.

What's you guy's thinking on calmag dosages? Do you go every feed if you think there's a deficiency?

What did you mean captspaulding about 1/4 dose of calmag?

Cheers

Ph feeds has been 5.7 usuaully. Occasionally down to 5.55 up to 5.85 but significant majority 5.7ph

Thank you I'll add some pictures soon

What's your take on ideal range in rockwool and Coco for ph for veg and flower would you say?

I’m not the feller to ask, I’m a soil guy all day.

My first non soil effort! I'm not a fan of Coco but I don't mind the rockwool so far

@BillyBanchan he could help.
Hydro in general I think is 5.5 - 6.5 pH

Consider that hydro allows you to range your pH in an effort to uptake different nutrients. Soilers got what they got.

Well, they have  some control... 😉
