Strange leaf spots, seems to be spreading around the room. Tobacco mosaic?

There was an issue recently with an AC giving up and some of these plants got very hot for maybe a couple of hours and these spots have mostly formed since then. I have no idea what are. Any ideas welcome. Coco medium pH for feeding about 5.7

Yeah not much sign of pests with these. Had a sone whitefly but very minimal and that was a while ago

Had some fusarium wilt with some after the cooking episode with the failed AC but they didn't get any spots

Ah I meant the heat was super hot for a couple of hours. That was a week ago. The spots have formed since then mostly

You better scope, the bottom of those leaves with 20 or 30 power magnification just to be on the safe side. Looks like it’s just the lower leaves for now. Hope it is just some kind of feeding issue. Pest damage usually starts out as white spots so maybe you’re OK there. But will brown up with time.

Hate to say it, but if it is pests , he’s got one hell of an infestation! And being in flower is not good. In my opinion, it doesn’t look anything like TMV. From the pictures I’ve seen.

Honestly didn’t even see the top, missed it was caught of guard by the severity of this. seems likely tho. nothing on top though, odd.

Definitely not TMV.

Possibly damage from some sort of oil based product being sprayed while the lights are on?

If you do find pests, you still have time to mitigate the issue if you act NOW.

Sounds like you have 2 spotted spider mites. These are easier to get rid of than red spider mites, though. Are your plants currently in flower or veg? If they're not in flower yet you could try Neem, or as I like to suggest - AgroMagen Grow Safe Biopesticide. If you want to try Neem (which is...

Again, IF it's pests. And if it is, at this stage in flower, I would go straight for the biopesticide. Order it next day from Amazon or as fast as you can. It will kill everything attacking your plants with 1 solid spray.



edit to add - I'm leaning towards something was sprayed on these accidentally. It doesn't look like it's effected the newer growth so logically speaking it could have been some sort of 1 time light burn from some sort of spray.

Have you noticed any change in their development rate? If you ignore the spots the plants themselves look fairly healthy.

could be calmag deficiency brought out more severely by the heat..
though i don’t grow in coco..

Agreed, I know for sure when I had thrips the damage done to the leaf tops was a silver color, this looks more brown like cal def spots, closest I run to coco is strawberry fields which is about 45% coco / 45% peat / and 10% perlite which is the medium I was using when I had the issue, with the thrips I’ll see if I can dig up the pics in my grow no ur a for reference

It’s so tough for me to figure, I’m kinda hung up on the “they got hot for a few hours” comment the op wrote, if it was something that popped up in just hours, either he didn’t notice the problem getting that bad (I find that a little hard to figure) or he got f’n swarmed by something, that humidifier was spewing minerals and condensation or cal mag. It’s the instant appearance thing that has me at foliar spray. it’s really a tough one without a little more clarification……

I haven't noticed any pests of note really but Ill have a look in the medium today and see if anythings going on in there

The spots I'd say gradually appeared over the next roughly 5 days. The calmag deficiency becoming more pronounced is an interesting thought and one I had too. They do get a bit of calmag in 2 of 3 feeds but it could be not enough. Either 5 or 3ml per gallon

No dehum is on haven't felt the need to run it just yet. Wil have a look today at humidity

The last thing was theres a neem extract product azaradactin which isn't really it's a clear liquid oily which they go hit with a couple of weeks ago after getting hit with some IPA and soap. But that was before they came inside. From outside veg area. Could be that. I'll send a picture of that in later

This is the product. Comes out not really oily

The plants had an IPA/liquid soap mix then when they dried they got the neem extra. Two days in a row then about 12 hours after after second round (fourth treatment total) they got put inside. Was no visible burning for first several days of going under LEDs

Couldn't see any pests in medium on quick inspection

Nah they got it outdoors in dusk and was shaded also fully

The pests, if they are there, will more than likely be on the leaves. And they will be tiny. Real tiny!
