See I was just thinking about that though, I’m sure it could still be done if implemented in stages, you know, start with a few acres a year, stagger it out, with some decent planning, a lot of Longview planning, you could get some swaths of land going. It would take a lot of time. But with some savvy planning. Anything is possible. I do get that larger operations do have some extenuating circumstances that I don’t know a damned thing about, so yeah, sounds good though….
Thanks for showing me some of the ins and outs of this man, it’s very interesting, I like brain food. And so do plants!👊🏻

That's what most of the large scale farmers that have decided to switch seem to be doing. They generally start with a few acres out of their plot and work outward and transition over many years.

Seems like the most common even handed approach from a layman’s front porch…..at least one with a couple pebbles rattling around in the ol noggin’🤣

I dont know if it is my soil, or the fact that pumpkins grow like crazy.... but i decided to give a bit back this year and burried 2 rotten pumpkins i had sitting on my stoop.. they went crazy and took over some hostas that were growing there for years and i might have to cut some back before they take over the whole garden.

If I didn’t have idiot dogs that jump my compost Barrier, I’d be using my food stuffs. I wish I could bury a pumpkin to plant in. That’s awesome. My lab would be eating that shit, wouldn’t matter if I buried it 4 ft. She’d get it. Hahaha

You can compost in your garage if you have one and have room. I do the wire fence method, keeps my dogs and cats from getting into it, too. And it makes turning and maintaining it easier, too. You could do this outside, as well.

I had chicken wire up on it, they went crazy and still got in. I need to just build a hinged lid for it. I’ve thought about, just been dragging ass on it tbh.

You know what, I have a steel shed with a wood floor rotting out of it, was going to take it down, but now that you mention, that would be a perfect containment for a compost pile, it’s a 12x15ft…..that’s a great idea.

Thanks! I'd let it go, but my wife will kill me if it takes over the 30year old rose bush! Some of the leaves on this beast are 2ft in diameter
I have devils ivy in the back yard on my canfer tree. As big as car tires. 30 year old rose bush? Damn man. That’s dedication! I have a cutting from a angel wing begonia that’s from my pops old plant. I don’t even know how old it is

Speaking of dogs that eat everything - what the hell is with German Shepherds. I've had a few over the years and they all loved to eat towels, napkins, socks, some of the weirdest shit.

Damn. If only i could get some of my other plants that big..

I can't take all the credit for it. The rose bush was started by a woman before i moved here. Her son told me when she planted it, so it might be even older. Lol it's my job now to keep it alive

Hell, I would too bro, if it’s been around so long.

Well, I’m cutting down the chunk bunker today. 85% of them were at 15%amber and pistils are red and turned in. The others are going in the red room to finish with the others while I change the bunker into a drying room. When I broke out the loupe today I wasn’t expecting so many to be ready. I ain’t mad. Now I can set things up the upcoming tengu/spiderfarmer run while everything finishes in the other room. I can also bump up the lighting in there for the next 2 weeks.

I just came in from watering. I'm leaning more and more towards doing a quick indoor grow for a mid winter harvest. My health has been shit this summer which is why I took this year off from growing in general. I'm still growing a few plants for personal stash purposes but even those took a huge hit. I was down with 'Rona and random muscle injuries for 2 months May through June, and my plants suffered big time, as there were many days where I couldn't even get out of bed to water them, let alone do anything else.

Damn buddy. You should do a indoor run, it’ll def be easier than anything having to do outdoor. I also got rolled by the Rona, I got that crap 2 times. Each more hellacious than the last. So I know what you mean. hope you are feeling at least a bit human these days. That crap took the wind plum out of my sails….
